Scenario Request: Chess Variant?

well I am now convalescing and hope to have moves out in the next week...

while I was layed out, I had a thought about how it might be interesting to have a chess variant type scene, with a squarish map and units layed out like pawns and pieces......infantry as pawns, arty as bishops, each side has a HQ you have to capture, tanks as rooks..........

it wouldn't have to be 8x8, but at a scale that it gave a chess-like feel to it. Well my two pennies worth, is there a scene like this already or ..... ideas?

i cant even remember his old avatar......................anyway the chess idea certainly is very cool! however, how would you feel if your queen strikes the king but gets beaten in the combat round?!

Yes, actually there is a chess equivalent out there.....

It's called.....CHESS! Readily available all over the world too. Not much after product support though. They haven't put out a patch in centuries! :cheeky:

I don't know about the patch - but the computer is getting much better!
I've heard a rumor that a CRAY has been tasked for the next computer-human
match ;)
