No Halo 3 in 2006?

So an image that appears to be a scanned GameStop internal correspondence has surfaced on the Interweb. In addition to the heart-warming news that more units are still heading into stores, we get the jaw-dropping heart-stopping devastation of no Halo 3 this year. Well, this is the plan slated by Microsoft, anyhow. Check out the scan below, notice the lack of solid proof that this is legitimate, and draw your own conclusions.

Also see the Halo 3 concept boxart being used by some unconfirmed stores to get enthusiasm going for Halo 3. As if it's required.

well, i suppose it means that the game will be tons better. We dont want it rushed. Im kinda worried of how many games wont make it to the ps3 launch too. only around 4 are apparently ready.:(

they are releasing halo 3 on the same release as ps3!! :D
the day sony releases ps3 halo 3 will show how many xbox 360 owners will beat the living crap out of ps3 :D i soooooo cant wait!!

so in other words expect it in 2007 as ps3 hasnt been released in japan yet and apparently its being released sometime this year but not alongside halo3 y u say as microsoft is american so in other words the first english speaking place that gets the ps3 also gets halo3!!! GOD I HOPE UK GET IT!!!

well i wasn't expecting it either so i didn't have high hopes for it being in 2006 because i don't want a rushed game to come out crappy and make the series look bad, and i found this out like a week ago but forget till now. There are many rumours like the on where is going lauch at te Halo Movie Premiere day (which i'm see at launch day :up:)

It would make sense to release it at the same time as the movie. I still think that it will come out later this year though probably for christmas since that will give it the best sales.

Halo 3 is suppose to be launched the same day (by rumor) PS3 is launched which has been pushed back to 2007, because Sony hasn't come out with final design (as confirmed off game developer's blogs). Wonder what X360 has in store for Revolution's launch day this Thanksgiving?

Dead Rising from Capcom comes out around that time - i'm definetly excited for that game, anyone who hasn't already needs to check out the awesome video on the XBL Marketplace.

Oh yeah. Dead Rising is Resident Evil without the arsenal of guns. Closer to Silent Hill, but we're dealing with a lot of zombies. Good thinking. There should be one of those run or die survival horror games on the market besides Silent Hill series.

Well...it's not really like Silent Hill :D Judging by the new trailer on the marketplace it's like GTA in a shopping mall filled with zombies where you can pick up any item to destroy zombies with and do wrestling moves on the zombies :p
