Many of you have e-mailed me asking how to change the flag you see displayed by your name. The procedure has changed since we upgraded to the lated version of VBulletin.
To change your FLAG simply do the following. (1) Click on the User CP link at the top of the forum. (2) Click on the Group Memberships link. (3) Select the country you want to belong to from the list. (4) Check the option to display you as a member of this group. You should now be able to see your new flag on the forum.
To upload a custom AVATAR (the image beside your user name) simply do the following. (1) Click on the User CP link at the top of the forum. (2) Click on Edit Avatar. (3) Either select one of the default avatars or upload your own in the space provided. You should now see your avatar displayed. Where can you find a good avatar? Click on the User Images link at the very top of the forum. Those are the standard user images we use for the main Warfare HQ page. Right click on the one you want and save it to your hard drive. You can then upload this file on the forum.
To view the forum in THREADED MODE rather than as a long list, do the following. (1) Click on the User CP link at the top of the forum. (2) Click on the Edit Options link. (3) Scroll down the page and you should see a dropdown box which allows you to choose between threaded, linear, and hybrid. Experiment with each until you find the style that suits your particular tastes. Be warned, threaded and hybrid mode are really meant for experienced forum users. You may find it somewhat more complicated to view the forum this way.
To view the forum in ALTERNATE COLOR MODES, simply follow these steps. (1) Click on the User CP link at the top of the forum. (2) Click on the options link. (3) At the bottom of the page you should see a dropdown box which allows you to toggle between several different color choices. Be advised, you will probably lose some of the spiffy graphics on the forum if you use the alternate color mode. That mode is meant to be a down and dirty way to read the forum without fancy graphics.
