I just wanted to update everyone on the upcoming SPWAW 8.01 Tournament that is being planned. I do not have all the details written up yet but here are some basics.

The name of the Tournament will be "Hell on Boots, Hooves, Wheels and Tracks"!

Elimination Style Tournament
16 Players Maximum with 1/2 eliminated each round
Each round will use 1 of the 4 winning maps from the SPWAW Map Contest
Scenarios will be predesigned by Double Deuce
Top 1/2 attacker scores move on/top 1/2 defender scores move on
Attacker/Defender determined at random by Double Deuce.

More information will be posted soon. If you are interested please post here and I'll add you to the roster.

I am planning to use a different set of nations for each round. Each player's forces will be set in the scenario and players will be in competition against the other players in their group (attackers or defenders). The top scores (50%) for the attacker and defender will advance. The idea is to get the best score you can with the force assigned.

Round 1 will be using 2 of the "minor" nations but I have not decided which yet and we will be using the winning small map from the Map Contest.

I will probably do that once all Round 1 games are finished. Everyone should know before they play it is that it is not really balanced and not designed for play against the AI.
