With the game ordered from HPS I downloaded and prepared to print the 150 page PDF manual.

It occured to me that with the changes, Bug fixes and enhancements now ongoing on a daily basis the manual must already be dated, and entire sections inaccurate. :crosseye:

How are you guys at HPS going to deal with this ?

The HPS Site FAQ is a great idea, but trying, as the player, to cross -reference that data into the relevent manual sections, without any indication in the FAQ as to where in the manual the corrected info is to be inserted, will result in a very frustrating experience for the end user. ( Us )

I respectfully suggest that your addressing this in the early stages in some way ( hopefully by listing the page and section in the manual the FAQ refers to ) will save you ( and Us ) much time and grief down the road.

That's a good question. I printed mine some weeks ago, and it took quite a bit of time and ink to do it.

It would be nice to see the manual redone in some fashion which allows "errata" to be posted in it, similar to what is done for the ASL rulebook. Of course, keeping the ASL rulebook up to date is nearly a full time job in itself so I find it unlikely that anything that sophisticated will happen for POA2.

It's a hard thought, mainly because the game engine is likely to evolve continually as time goes on. I don't know what the best solution for the problem is. :crosseye:

Thanks for the support on this one Don :)

I think it`s going to be a big issue even though not software/gameplay related.

I may be wrong but as I recall in the ongoing update process in TOP after it was first released a detailed Text File, referencing the changes included the page and item # changed was included in each Patch.

To be honest I don’t know how we’ll handle it. My first inclination is to publish an “update section” for existing (v 2.0) users, and add the changes and questions directly into the manual for the next batch. But it will depend on what other kinds of input I get and what seems to work best.
