Does anyone know how to tell the current altitude of a helicopter? I want to make a helicopter mask and unmask behind a hill. I see how to change the altitude, but I don't see how to tell what the current altitude is.

This also got me thinking about something else. I use the point-to-ponit LOS tool a lot, and it sure would be useful to be able to check LOS from a helicopter. As it stands now you can only check LOS from a point on the ground. There doesn't seem to be any way to tell what can be seen from a hover.

If you right click on the unit and select "unit details" and on the "general" tab in the "situation section" I believe the "Hgt AGL (m)" is the current altitude of the unit in question. Hope this helps, and I hope I am right about one thing in the game

I suggest the current altitude for a helicopter be added to the location display.

The altitude can be found on the Unit Info Form (right click), main tab. It sounds like something that would be good to add to the text display, though, so I’ve added it to the “wish list”.

I also agree with your second suggestion - it’s also been added to the list. I’m not sure what the best way to do it will be, but I’ll think of something.

Okay, I see it. It's a little cumbersome as is, but I guess it will work until the interface get tweaked.

I think there should simply be a "popup" command, and let the AI do the sighting from there . . .
