Differences between the retail and military versions

I recently read that there are some significant differences between the military and retail versions of POA2. I was under the impression that the only difference was that some of the editor functions are disabled (or will be) in the retail version. Now I wouldn't be surprised if some of the weapons data in the military version are more accurate, but other than that I was unaware of anything.

Does anyone have the scoop on this?
