Is there any way to incorporate a true “overlays” feature into the scenario editor? I already know about the dot overlays which show terrain elevation, etc. I’m talking about a system that would allow scenario designers to include standard markers for assembly areas, objective markers, phase lines, unit boundaries, etc.
Decisive Action and Armored Task Force both have this ability and it’s really needed in POA2. If we want to create realistic scenarios, then the OP orders should by all rights be based around this type of system. It adds tremendous value and realism to the system and I’m surprised the military didn’t ask for this. This could be incorporated by switching to a "graphics mode," where the scenario designer can draw lines, rectangles and ovals in several different colors, name phase lines, etc. This overlay, of course, could be toggled on and off at the player’s discretion during play.
