View Full Version : Some PBEM-Worthy Picks?

I'm gonna start PBEM again soon after about a year off the game, so there it goes...
I have some scenarios in mind that I consider worth the effort, even if I haven't PBEM with most of them. By 'worth the effort' I mean - they are balanced, both sides can win and both can have fun (as opposed to both sides can learn some history, and one is gonna suffer horribly during most of the game, or else don't move its units at all and wait for the slaughter to end, in case there's a slight chance of victory somehow.) Maybe somebody can offer some input on his/her experience with any member of this selected list:
-Bastogne 1944
-Tobruk 42
-Balkans 1913
-Tannenberg 1914
-Bong Son 1966
-Serbia-Galitzia 1914
-South Front 1943
-Tunis 1943
These are the (short) scenarios that I consider best for TOAW, according to my very limited experience (I've played Tannenberg hot-seat, PBEM and against the AI, for instance, but just had a look at South Front, and half a game vs AI of Tunis 1943, the longest and weirdest of them all, I reckon.)
I hope for some guidance, mates.
