Has anyone created a Iraq scenario for the possible upcoming war?

Yes I was looking at that, and then realised a 4-turn scenario might be pushing the envelope of scenario design in the wrong direction.

A "What if the Middle East exploded" could be an interesting scenario.

it could be an interesting amusing slaughter toward AI, but definitely not a parity good PBEM scenario, ... what is the point to play the arabian world just to be rolled over by the US and Israeli forces? :ar15: :flag:

I think a scenario that reflects the current situation there, but that is designed to reflect some possible variables or unknowns that might make it difficult for the US side would be interesting to play. There might be theatre options or some other possiblity for such events as overthrows of the governments of Arabian penninslula states (by fundamentalists), or the defecting of some or all of their militaries, Iranian intervention, unexpected US fleet losses, etc., etc. Iraqis taking whole cities as human sheilds, or other such things.

The actual possibility of such events is probably remote, but there might be some lessons to be learned from a thoughtfully designed such scenario that ends up with competitive play balance for PBEM.

Just a thought.

Sandrik, I can't find your scenario. I found some Ardennes scenarios, a number of Arab-Israeli, Final Justice (I searched under your name), and Oil War 79. What is the name of your Iraq scenario?

Also I'm about to post a 2nd version Fina Justice II based on new information. In the next week or so.

Thanks. For some reason I had assumed that was an Afghanistan scenario.
