View Full Version : Dumping in XP
Has anyone found a way to dump your ACOW scenario when using XP?
What are the details of your problem? More info will help, eh?
Ah, its real simple. I try to perform a scenario dump in XP and I only get a partial dump or the computer hangs.
There doesn't seem to be a way to do it in XP. Even relatively small scenarios still seem to hang after about 16KB.
I do all my dumps on a Win98SE machine, and have never had a problem with that OS, even for huge scenarios like DnO.

I've had the same experience.
This problem exist with all OS superior or equal to NT4.
Dump work only under WIN98 and ME.
Bad news, probably a "string" definition which must be set as "char" for NT/200/XP Api's of a single which change to a Dword, always the same Microsoap don't assure perfect ascending compatibility
Seen same problem when migrating code from VB6 to Dot Net.

Any details concerning this, or will running edit on said machine be enough? Wife's machine is ME boot.
Anyone having any joy using dual-boot (it's an option that I haven't explored) on XP?
Hey, nuB, eh? :o
Also, which works best, 98se or ME?
