Yes that's right, the company known for making Pacman, Tekken and Ridge Racers have been bought by Bandai.

That will allow and give more games to be made from franchises. Hopefully they will still continue Namco's past games.

Don't think so. It's a merge with Bandai owning more than Namco (i would've thought that would be the other way round :confused: ), so they should still be bringing out Namco games. It's not the whole of Namco merging is it? They'll still have their individual developers like Namco Hometek and the Tales studio, or is that still unconfirmed?

tales of eternia is coming out for the ps2 so i can play it properly then. :D

And since when is Tales of Eternia coming out for PS2?? There's only Legendia announced for PS2 so far. Or have i missed an announcement?? :eek: *Dashes to Tales site*

Sorry, Tales of Symphonia has only been released on PS2 in Japan, there's been absolutely nothing on a US or UK release. The only things different to the GC version is that there's a few more costumes, everyone has a hi-ougi (i think it's only Colette and Kratos that have one in the GC version) and there's an extra Raine scene about her mother. *wants to see that scene* :(

Tales of Eternia Online is still in development, i think, but like the PS2 Tales of Symphonia, there's no news of a US or UK release.

And for future reference: Tales of Eternia is no longer known as the sequel to Tales of Destiny because there's an official sequel called Tales of Destiny 2 which was only released in Japan. :)

Also there are a lot of names that have been copywritten. They've not been announced as offical games yet. Except for Melfes, which is now known as Tales of Legendia.

I'm hoping that with this merger will come another Namco Collection. My name for it: Tales of Namco :p and it'll have most Tales game on there and will be released on PS2, Xbox and GC. The other Tales games will go on GBA and PSP because they were orignally designed for that size. How cool would that be? :cool:
