A friend and I are releasing an online game on Sunday Night May 1st.
MusicRivals
You: Talented lead singer trying to make it big.
Your plan: Assemble a quality band of talented musicians, high quality equipment and good marketing.
Your rivals: All the other bands who are trying to steal your CD sales and popularity.
Your arsenal: Quality CD recording, viscious rumour spreading, playing gigs to gain reputation and more.
Make sure you're there when we start taking signups at 12.01am Sunday morning. 24 hours later at 12.01am Monday morning, you will be granted full access to your account (All times are GMT)

It is text based, but there are images too. It doesn't look like a DOS program don't worry :p

You can also name yourself (the lead singer of your band), your albums, and optionally song titles if you feel creative enough!
after a few people post theirs ill make a poll of whos best and youll be able to see who voted for what so no votes for yourself

I'll use "THE GLOSS DOGS", which happens to be the name of my band atm!! (there were originally 3 painters & decorators in the band to begin with, so it was very apt!) :D
We are playing with the idea of changing it to "Wicked Sensation", which was the name of our band a few years back.

That's a glitch. Dan said to Report if you suddenly sell way more cds than suppose to and you'll get to start with 50 000 and like 150 reputation points. My band has a cd in 20th and 28th The one in 28th is a double album for 1 buck which costed me like 200 million to make lol

Luke, would there be any way to start a fresh game? I get the feeling there is no aim to the game anymore - especially with the accounts that havn't been deleted. On the other hand, its probably just better to wait until June 1st now. :p
Now I can't get onto Musicrivals. It asks me to either open or save something to my computer.

I swear that guy controlling Bullied At Birth is manipulating some type of cheat. He sells every CD he makes by the bazillions.
Edit: You've chosen to spend £3810 in order to Leak to the Media that Bullied at Birth v2 lead vocalist cheated on thier loving partner! Their fans will not be very pleased with them at all!
By spending the extra £1810 you had a 95% chance of succeeding but it failed...

It needs more detail. Like you should first start off recruiting your band. Then you start writing some songs and playing some gigs hoping to get noticed by a Record Company. Send a demo or 2 to them You know. Then once you get the deal you should be able to start doing cds. Maybe even a little minigame when your recording a CD. Similar to DDR but with keys and the better you do the more likely your cd will sell lots. Maybe add some extra options and different types of marketing campaign and it would be awesome. I don't like the fact that when you make a new cd your old ones don't sell. They should still but the sales would significantly fall.

My bands around 20th overall. Got 2 billion bucks. Doing good but im getting really bored with the repetitivity.

i think that was a suggestion for the game.
The reason everyone is getting bored is because it's no longer a game. There is no competition or progression as most accounts have billions due to errors.
This will be rectified with more interesting features added soon.

Keep working on it. Eventually it will be great. But make sure there's something to do other than watch your cds on the chart every hour.
