Basically these are my thoughts on all the upcomers and you can share some of yours too.

First of all the

Xbox2
The Xbox2(name still flying around) will be likely out in the year 2005 and that is a big plus. Another thing is Xbox Live. Online Gaming is a totally different experience and so far neither Sony nor Nintendo has really made an online system. The Xbox 2 is said to have games already developed and the system will be pretty powerful. Microsoft also has all the money in the world so they can pretty much spend as much as they want on the system.

PS3
Sony's upcoming system will be no short of a Powerhouse. Rumors are it's sick how powerful the machine will be. But cost is a BIG issue. With rumors of $500-$700 I don't think i'd want to pay that for a system. Also Sony has made the PS3 wasy too early. There is still a lot of lasting power in the PS2. Bad marketing move on their part. Expect Sony's PS3 to come out no sooner than late 2006.

Revolution
Now this is the system with the big question mark beside it. Basically we know Nintendos system will have some new features that we've never seen before. The Gyroscope controllers i believe were scrapped but I could be wrong. Also nintendo is said to be working on 2 different systems and the better will be sold. The controller will likely be somewhat close to a Wavebird with a different layout. The Revolution is said to have Wi-Fi capabilities similar to the PSP and DS only better. Only time will tell if the Revolution truly Revolutionizes gaming or is just another dud like the DS.

The Verdict
This is where I tell which systems are of my most interest. Here it is.

I believe I am the most interested in Microsoft and Nintendo's system! Here's Why.
The online for the Xbox2 will be just awesome and there will be tons of third party support as many developers are already making games. The Xbox2 will be a big hit I think and as much as I hate the Xbox1 I will have an Xbox 2.
Now the Revolution. Well it's hard to say right now but the Uniqueness of Nintendos plan might actually Bring out something that enhances gameplay. And it is infact gonna be Online and I just think that Nintendo will eventually strike an awesome idea.
Now here's why I didn't choose the PS3.
It may be so powerful but the graphics can only get so much better. And with Xbox Live its online cant compete and really Sony hasn't brought anything new to the table. The huge pricetag aint so hot either. Sony had the weakest system in this generation and it won. Now i'm not saying the PS3 will suck and the Revolution and Xbox will be godly these are just my opinions early on in the match. All we can do is wait for now.

Hope you enjoyed my thoughts! ;)

i never really go to much into multiplayer on Xbox live. I usually like 4 player gamers or lan connects. i think that the Xbox2 is gonna focus alot on online play, i just hope that they give gamers a good single player experience.

The only thing i am worried about for the PS3 is the price tag. i know that they will get backed up by software, but i really do not think sony is stupid enough to charge gamers up to $500. If they do this, they are gonna bring Xbox2 and Nintendo more sales, because i will not buy a gaming system for that price unless it comes with 20 games :D.

as for the revolution. i was a big nintendo fan back in the day...i even defended the N64 when all my friends had PSones. But the gamecube was the last straw. PS2 stole me away with its mature games. Hopefully Nintendo will bring something really good to the table.

In the end this compition is gonna be good for us games, that way no system can just sit back and expect to get a lot money. they are gonna have to earn my money. and may the best system win

I was a Nintendo Fan then got an Xbox, theyre both cool but XBL is really over rated its fun yes but i have XBL and havent used it in like 3-4 months.

Well do you have Halo. XBL is perfect for FPS. Also I dont just think Xbox Live will thrive the Xbox2. The third party games will be great because many developers are in on the Xbox2. And the Xbox2 will probably be cheaper than the PS2. We can't really say much about the revolution right now. We'll just have to wait for E3 for it.

The big difference between Sony and Microsoft online is the cost. It's free to play Sony online and costs money to play Microsoft online.

I am looking forward to the Revolution the most. I'm a bit of a Nintendo fanboy, so I can't wait!

I mihgt get the revolution, it seems cool with WiFi but you need a DS for that i think

XBox will probably be the first I get for the hd support. However, if XBox is not backwards compatible - it will really hurt the system imho. I think coming out first is a good move. I actually think all 3 systems would do better if the stair stepped they're release date by a year or more and not worry about the other guys hype.

PS2. I'm the least interested in it. I think sony is resting on it's previous victory and assuming everybody who has a PS2 will want a PS3.

Nintendo. Interested to see what they got up their sleeve. They're the most likely to have a big comeback and the most likely to fall on their face (does that make sense?). I personally think what they have will ultimately be gimmicky - this is how I feel about the DS - and it won't revolutionize gameplay. It will be too far off the norm to appeal to hard cores. However....I really hope I'm wrong in this.

My perdiction.....Gizmondo will win...or maybe the Phantom :p

If i remember correctly that information was released a while ago

I heard something like that but rumors don't mean it will happen. And you won't need the DS for Revolutions Wi-fi. That would be just plain stupid.
And Sonys online does come at a cost for the router and nobody is online to play against. Revolution might very well be a dumb gimmick. But they are working on 2 systems so 1 is probably their weird idea to "revolutionize things" and 1 is probably a normal system if they don't think of any cool ideas.

If nintendo try to revolutionize with the DS like linking up 4 people who HAVE to use theyre gameboys to play....ill kill

I think Nintendo will try to bring a new element to gameplay. Maybe some new buttons in spots that really work. Kinda like when the L and R buttons were invented. Let's hope in order to do this they dpn't make some huge bulky controller.

at ign they found some information a while a go, saying that the Revolution was trying to make games 3d, not from the screen but from wehere your looking i think

That technology is years and years ahead of us. Unless if you have to wear those stupid glasses.

Yeah, i don't want that either, its too straining on the eyes....They would have to make their system worth a lot more than a thousand dollars, just think about the 'holo emiiters' (use a trek term) the lens alone would be worth a few thousand dollars.

Beat...I don't think it was referring to 3D but making fixation points more prominent. It would produce less strain on the eyes and brain and make playing the game easier and more enjoyable...but the user may not even realize why. They have a new patent for it.

I could be wrong as I'm not familiar with your article.

I just hope nintendo doesn't go too overboard on this "revolution" thing. Well that may be a good thing but i'm not sure if this Revolution will revolutionize anything. I just hope it will.
