EA buys the NFL...and I like it alot

I hope this isn't a rehash from somewhere...but

I'm not really happy about EA trying to monopolize the football sim category...but I think it will finally force other companies to be truly innovative rather than merely try and replicate the "king of the hill" that EA is.

A good example of this is Midways new/next iteration game coming out. I believe its called "Blitz:The League." They don't have to play with NFL restrictions and can bring out all the controversey they want. If anyone knows anything about this game...I'd love to hear about it.

Finally...I'm sure I'll be playing with my favorite team on this game...the Illinois Beers...and personally....I can't wait!!!!

I think EA buying the NFL was the worst thing to ever see happen in the history of sports video games. Basically now EA can make crappy, half-assed Madden games without having any competition. Espn NFL 2k5 was much better than Madden 2005 and now what can they do. Due to this I might consider never buying another EA game again. But I do hope that Midways Blitz The league game will be good because then they even could rival EA.
