You gotta love that air power. You don't have to lift a finger and it's all done for you! Who needs tactics!! :D :flag:

Mangus,

From the looks of it, it's the start of an ARC Light Strike by a B-52 squadron!

Run, run for the hills!

Not knowing the year/month the best guess is a P47D with 1x500 2x1000 bombs = massive collateral damage when dropped in 1 pass.

Touchdown :hurray: :hurray: :hurray: (as you say in the States)
You are truely our glorious leader, it is indeed the P47D. I've never used them before and was shocked at how much damage they do! And 8 strafes as well(still prfer a Plt of tanks though;) )

Thanks Dan, :)

I've done quite a number of tests involving the "calibers" and means of firepower delivery (arty/armor/aircraft) in CM to see what the resulting damage is to inf/armor/buildings & fortifications. So upon seeing the "pinpoint" narrow area bomb bursts (3 it looked like) & concussion damage to the buildings in your screen shot it could only mean an aircraft using a one pass drop with multipile heavy bombs.

Usually after dropping all their bombs the aircraft will not return to strafe (pity). Did that Thunderbolt strafe at all in the game?

And as you said, it is better to buy what you know & can use as you wish, like tanks, than buy an aircraft who's actions are totally random & that might even attack your own troops.

It is a bug in all three Cmx1 games and all patches. Sometimes when airplane bombs fall all buildings on the map explode.

Absolutely.

Especially if you're the attacker!

Let me add something, if you want to see any real damage done (to anything) then you should buy a plane with a descent bomb load. Rockets are not very accurate nor do they do much impact damage. Plus I have yet to see a plane do "up to" its number of listed strafes. The most I have seen is 4 (out fo 6 I think) which is very discouraging considering their cost.
