Rd 5 is ready to go! :halo:
But we need to settle a question on how to proceed because we have 7 one loss players. (due to earlier player drop outs)
Doodlebug / The Hooded One / Mixmaster / Tripps / 2054172 / Iron Mike / Colonel Talvela
Best for the tourney: 3 of the players can play in a POD (play 2 games each) and the player with the highest combined point total advances the other 2 don’t = 2 losses each.
This allows for the quickest advancement and conclusion of the tourney without undue "byes" for other players.
Undefeated players are: JDSU vs Savatage
(The Rd5 winner will then get 2 byes)
The one person to recieve a BYE should be the person with the worst record but if, that is not possible then the person that is lowest on the ladder should be the one with the bye.:smoke:

That is usally in team sports.....in one on one games the worst should be the one who needs the help...and I thought you would understand that the best.:p :smoke:

After a glitch where my PW wouldn;t work, we are finally in the setup phase. Order phase to commence shortly. :clown:
This map seems to favour the axis in the inital set-up ..so now I have tofight harder to have USMC sing the Wayne song.;) :smoke:

But please send me your concern because I try hard to balance it overall in one form or another. If the setup "looks" favorable to one side then the terrain "ahead" should balance it out.
(Actually I just wanted to mess with the Axis side...)

Savatage, I still can't recieve the file you sent. I'm also unable to log onto Yahoo mail to see if you sent it there. Can you send it to Kerry and he'll forward it to me ( I hope :)). I can look into setting up another free email account so I can receive your turns.
All: any idea why Savatage's email doesn't end up in my inbox? I've checked my firewall/antispam stuff and can't find any problems there.

It seems that we are both getting to the flags at the same time.....I wold say that in 90% of my games I get there first.....so I guess it does favour the AXIS other wise it seems very good.

Without looking at the game files, I would say Numbers and I are about a 1/3rd through the game. It is definitely a bloody one.
At the rate we are going, we could run out of ammo before the game is over. I suppose we could use our rifles as clubs. :clown:

Now if the matchups can be worked out, JDSU should get a bye but the rd is short 1 "1 loss" player.
:freak: :mad: What the f@#k? How many more times do I have to tell you people that I'm still in the tournament? I have had one loss (against JDSU). Once again here are the details:
Round 1 - Minor victory against USS Wyoming
Round 2 - Tactical Victory against Ratzki
Round 3 - Tactical Victory against RangerBooBoo
Round 4 - Draw with Savatage, me winning on points (53%)
Round 5 - Total Defeat against JDSU.
That's three times now I've been wrongly excluded from this. I guess it all stems from your error in Round 4 where you mistakenly awarded the victory to Savatage. Get it right, please, it's irritating...

Sorry Palantir, I know you're no longer involved with this, but it is annoying. If it had just been the one time, I wouldn't have minded, but this is the third time I'v e had to step in and put the record straight. After the initial mix-up with my game against Savatage in which I had to prove that I had won, I was again excluded by Mangus in this post: http://www.gamesquad.com/forums/cm-tournaments/64948-cmak-battle-boot-rd6.html#post837379
I know this place is in a state of flux with the changes in moderators, and I also greatly appreciate the selfless work of those who put together the tournaments, but obviously more care needs to be taken with record keeping.
I have been in touch with Mangus and he will forward the map to Palantir then there maybe a couple of finishing touches and we will be off. Thank Yuo palantir for your volunteering and The Hooded One thank you for your patience. I would never for get you on purpose:devious: After all i whip you every so often anyway.;) :p :smoke:
This is over and done with...even if it was not technically finished...time dictates an end.

and for the record - very disappointed that this just died. This was a QB tourney. All we needed was for one person to set any QB parameters and draw two names from a hat.

I am sorry for the sudden end....But you are right it may not be fair...i just went by points in the finish. This tourney should of been over ages ago....
Part of this problem is mine and the lack of consistant leadership here. People not stepping up to the plate and also trying to balance out the RL with moderating.
I am trying to clean up the site a bit and start a fresh. There are other options in the works as for future tournament, in which to prove oneself and show good gamemenship and Sportsmanship. Pleae forgive me if I caused you any grief...believe you me I was in the running also. :smoke:

Obviously you didnt cause me any grief.
But JDSU should have gotten first place. He didnt lose a game. The finish points were wrong because not all the games were posted correctly.
That being said, I will at least applaud you for doing something.

This most likly does reflect the intent of the tournament.
