This was posted at the Blitz site from someone who got an email from Duchet.
New PzC: Minsk 44 Operation Bagration
Sweet, some new stuff aswell:
Minsk ’44 brings changes to the game engine, which enhance the campaign being wargamed.
These include:
- Added partisan unit type with new effects on supply and units moving in the rear.
- New game effects whereby indirect fire is twice as disruptive to HQ units as normal.
- Added new Quality Fatigue Modifier optional rule.
- New command effect: detached units (those beyond the command range) can no longer call in Artillery or Air Support.
- Specific AI improvements have been made in an effort to make the game played against the computer more enjoyable.
- Scenario Editor: added ability to define a Direct A/I Order to assist the AI in attacking over major obstacles such as rivers, thus making the game system more tenacious on the attack.
- Also added, is the ability to highlight a single unit which allows A/I orders to be given to that unit.
Ugh.
Another 30 bucks I gotta pry away from the wife. :D

Typically how long does it take to roll out the changes to the previous titles?
Ordered Minsk '44, Tobruk '41 to complete my PzC collection, and FIW to round out my EA battles collection. :D

Typical is difficult to peg down as there are a number of variables which can impact this. First thing we'll do is wait three or more weeks for the new game to be out and to ensure we didn't break something that requires an immediate v.101 update. So assuming no bugs after a suitable period has passed we'll begin to cycle through a series of patches.
With as many games in the series it will take a while to cycle through them all - but I expect we'll get them all out before the end of the year.

was just checking out the minsk screen shot hps and saw all the new hot buttons that have been added, and no longer see the arty/air/digging in buttons. just wondering what they might be for if anyone w/ the game cares to share, and also if anyone knows the history of the series(i dont know if the main screen has ever changed since ive only been playing for about a year), but will all of the older games have this hot-button make-over when they are patched up?

I can tell you this.. Minsk definitely has arty/air/digging in buttons .. same as all the rest of the PzC series. The screenshots may not have the "complete toolbar" option shown.
Thanks.

No changes to the interface, nor is there any new HOT KEYS of the like.
The Screen shots you are referring to may be cut down I suppose, but there are no changes in this areas - and certainly nothing removed that was in previous titles.

Well - not sure what your looking at - maybe send me the image and I can shed some light on it but I can assure you there are no tester screens or anthing like that.

OK - I think I see it now - the screen shots were made with the Editor - not the main game. Mystery solved.
But every game comes with PCEDIT.exe - and yes, it has different buttons. Sorry for the confusion as it looks normal to me <g>
