Gentlemen,
This Tournament is for YOU!
It was designed to give all interested "new" players a chance to compete against players of similar skill & experiences in CM with the addition to ask questions about playing CM.
That said- this is not the usual tournament per say: the scenario designers/mods and I want you to enjoy this and learn from the games.
We want you to PLAY & FINISH the scenarios even if you need a few extra days or weeks to accomplish that feat. The round "End Dates" are to put some "pressure" on you to get the feel of how PBEM & other tournaments are ran = you must return files in a timely manner and get your troops moving to accomplish their goals. Plus- so we can move on to the next rounds!:halo:
I've received a number of emails from players who have encountered some RL (real-life) difficulties & feel they can't continue/meet the dead-lines. In a "normal" tourney this would probably mean dropping out however- if your opponent has no problem with a delay in finishing the game then please take the needed pause and continue when you can. (Just keep me informed).
Having new players dropping out will not help in their understanding / enjoyment of the game when the opportunity to learn/enjoy CM is right here right now. :)
Edit- BTW, we've had players (matches) in other tournaments that can't finish within the alotted dead-line continue on at their own pace just because they were enjoying the scenario/it was too darn interesting and wanted to finish it no matter how long it took!
