Gentlemen,

This Tournament is for YOU!
It was designed to give all interested "new" players a chance to compete against players of similar skill & experiences in CM with the addition to ask questions about playing CM.

That said- this is not the usual tournament per say: the scenario designers/mods and I want you to enjoy this and learn from the games.
We want you to PLAY & FINISH the scenarios even if you need a few extra days or weeks to accomplish that feat. The round "End Dates" are to put some "pressure" on you to get the feel of how PBEM & other tournaments are ran = you must return files in a timely manner and get your troops moving to accomplish their goals. Plus- so we can move on to the next rounds!:halo:

I've received a number of emails from players who have encountered some RL (real-life) difficulties & feel they can't continue/meet the dead-lines. In a "normal" tourney this would probably mean dropping out however- if your opponent has no problem with a delay in finishing the game then please take the needed pause and continue when you can. (Just keep me informed).

Having new players dropping out will not help in their understanding / enjoyment of the game when the opportunity to learn/enjoy CM is right here right now. :)

Edit- BTW, we've had players (matches) in other tournaments that can't finish within the alotted dead-line continue on at their own pace just because they were enjoying the scenario/it was too darn interesting and wanted to finish it no matter how long it took!

When you finish a game you go to the CM Ladder and post the win (the winning player usually reports the match)

To report a game: under the WARS (ladder) tab click on "Wars Control Center" then the "Combat Missions" Ladder, then "Submit a Game Report/Scenarios." Follow the instrutions from there.

Hi Fellas,
I just got an e-mail that my opponent (Justin) for rnd 2 is dropping out of the tourny. It is a shame as we were well on our way into the game and everything seemed to be moving right along. Oh well. Is there going to be a round 3 and if so when does it start? Thanks again for setting this up, lots of fun.

I agree. I've completed both rounds (though both were losses for me - I'm still enjoying them!).

Thanks Kerry for setting this up!

There are 2 more rounds in the tourney, to begin when the first two end.

I will be asking to see who will be able to play in those as the date gets closer.

Excellent news. This has been a lot of fun so far, and a good learning experience too.
