View Full Version : My first newbie question
What is the best way of seeing which hexes are spotted/observed/unkown?
The only way I know right now is to move my cursor over every hex to see its disposition. Very tedious.
Thx

Well, i wouldn't know another method. I seldomly took care if an hex is observed, spotted or unknown. The rare occasions i look after it is if i want to order an airmobile assault or an airdrop to see if the dropzone and its adjacent hexes are actually unoccupied or if there could be a bad surprise waiting for my troops.
Btw, welcome to the forums :toast:.
Thanks Telumar.
I guess i was wishing there was a fog of war overlay, but as you said, maybe I wont be using it as much as I'm thinking of.

Fog of War is abstracted...
Gee, it is very strange because you could spot some distant location in Siberia or something like that... That's esp. annoying in big Barbarossa scenarios as German didn't have that intelligence and they were quite unaware of Soviet second and third echelon and of Soviet reserve armies around Moscow in Nov. 1941. or around Stalingrad in 1942.

you can prevent this by lowering axis inteligence to an appropriated level.
