Has this part of the forum died for any particular reason?
Hank2 and myself finished our game and are now playing another scenario. What hapened to everyone else?

I was kind of wondering about that myself. I thought after the new edition of TOAW came out that the activity here would pick up significantly. Instead it seems to have died.
Well, as to L's q: The workshop has pretty much ended, so not much more to say. WHen the next one starts this part of the forum will pick up again.
As to Don's thought: Are you meaning this part of the forum, which is inactive for aforementioned reason, or the forum in general?

I just assumed more would post what happened in their game, lessons to be learnt etc. Heinz seemed to have that expectation (though it seems his computer ist kaput).

That's because it picked up on "$"#"$"%$# games forum. :)

Actually that happened before the new game was released if you noticed it, in fact just look hw many new (brand new) scenarios were released at places like 'the strategist' for TOAW3 and you should also pose the same question... I do.
It also seems that the activity in the toaw forum at Matrixgames has calmed down recently...
Paint it black...
Edit: Maybe everyone is busy with playing
I'm getting online intermittently and was surprised of the limited response to the thread for after game feedback. Quiet in a lot of places - but, it could well be the "back to school" season?
Preparing to change apartments again, and have a trip stateside from Oct 14 - 31, so I'm reluctant to try starting anything now - but happy to help support the next round if someone is willing to take up the wheel?
I am still playing my game and things are getting quite complicated and I am completely entralled about the whole thing. My turn around has become slower as I am back at work (teacher) and do not have the same amount of time nor energy as I would like. Non the less I will continue with this; and my opponent, I understand is enjoying it as much as me. Especially as he is kicking the s...... out of my units. I would be very sad if this work shop has ended. I have learnt alot especially from reading all the posts. The contributions from General Staff have been tremenous and I am very grateful. Thank you.

I don't think that's the case. In fact I noticed it way before TOAW3 got released, the fact is that the time between ACOW and TOAW3 created a sort of void on which many players moved on to other games, if you look well, this tendency in decreasing TOAW, activity is general not on a specific forum weather it is SZO, Matrix or TDG.

I agree, for instance all the activity surrounding the workshop at its beginning seems to have almost dried out.
Back to school, back to work, people moving on, lack of any news to keep the interest going... There's a lot of possible reasons - and people to busy playing is probably not one of them.

Yeah, maybe when (or if ?!) Ralph emerges again and a new patch is in sight it may get a bit better. It was more hope than belief in my statement that everyone is busy with playing.
Btw, are you related to Erik Nygaard?

We lack statistics here. Butmore so input from the players. Maybe it is time to make the Axis and Aliies fora visible for all to get the entire involvement picture?

Yeah, it's a bit worrying.

Not that I know of :) - Nygaard is not an uncommon surname in Denmark and (my guess) Norway.

If the games are finished, that'd make sense indeed.

Maybe a poll asking people if their games are finished or not finished, so we can get an idea of where most are at?
I'm up first. You know my record so far. Overwhelming victory against the originator of this thread. Is there anything else i need to send to verify?
My other game is on hold by my opponent.
