View Full Version : Where is the IJN?

I just bought the game this week and I think it's great. It seems I missed most of the early cycle bugginess. But I have a question about what is going on in my first campaign here.

I am playing the Russians and it's May 5 1904 but I haven't seen any other ships since Feb 16th 1904. I had been doing pretty well against the IJN and the last I saw of the Battlship division it was steaming for southern Korea. Since then I have been surrounding the japanese islands and mining many of their ports. But I haven't seen a transport or a warship in nearely 2 months.

The running victory monitor just says :
VICTORY: RUSSIA DAY: 7

Can anyone tell me what is going on? Are they hiding or am I up against a bug or what?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Scheer,
I've had this same problem, it seems that the day count and the Date get miss-matched then the entire Japaneses navy heads for home or possibly disappears then all is quiet, forever. I haven't gotten it to repeat reliably, so I've not reported it. Sorry I can't solve your trouble, but I did want to let you know, I also have seen this, if that helps. Anyone else?

Rats, I thought it was to good to be true. I will have to go back in my saved games and see if I can get back in synch.

Thanks -B

ADM , if you can any time you see something like this and think about it , try to stop the game and send the data to the SES Support, that way Norm can take a look and see what it up.
Try to take screen shots if they apply and send the data files to him. there is a list on the support page that will help you know what to send.
Norm has just about squashed all the issues in the game so if you see something send it in, and posting here is ok also so we will know and can look out for the same. But this way Norm has it quick and he does check the support all the time.

If it really is saying DAY 7 and that isn't a typo then the game is stuck 1 week into the campaign. Do you run the game at x10000 time speed much? I advise sticking to no more than x1000.

Thanks Daedalus I will take a look at the support page and see what needs to be done.

Saddle, no typo, it really was day 7 for 2 months.

I generally don't use x10000 much, though I can't say I didn't hit it. After the IJN went away I tended to use x10000 quite a bit.

I went back to my last saved game that was saved before the problem. It was saved at the end of a battle. When I went to campaign from there I was at Day 8 and everything was back in synch. So I didn't lose anything except a morning chasing phantoms. Now I'm back to Feb and up to my arse in IJN. Be carefull what you ask for!

thanks to all

I run the game in 10000 X a lot, and I have never had any issue with this. I have read where some seem to be, and it makes me wonder what it is that is going on.
The only time I had a CTD was when I was trying to us an old Campaine after an update. But so far all has been well with the speeds in the game.

Mouse over all your task force and look carefully in the pop up window if in one of them you see (engaged), i don' t know if this bug has been fixed.
It happened to me, but in earlier version of the game.
Hope this will help
In this case reload back you saved game until you don' t see the engaged TF
It worked for me
