I thought Glen had posted a few months ago that there are plans to improve the AI. Is that correct? How is it coming along?

Lets wait for the next game in the Series and you can judge for yourself.

I really don't want to oversell this. The designer notes outlines what changes we made and we are pleased with the results. But I am sure there are guys out their who play only by PBEM and they might not even see any change in the AI because the AI is not as smart as a human - and it likely never will be.

Will the AI improvements be specific to the next game in the series or can it be patched into the previous games as well?

I am guessing that the other games in the series will get the same enhancements but Glenn would have to give the official answer.

My guess is YES. Just have to wait for the Update process to catch up with the changes.;)

I can't recall a single feature added to PzC since Smolensk '41 V1.0 didn't make its way into every game in the series. So in the case of AI improvement, it would be difficult to exclude them from older games.

That said, I don't want to over state what has been done. We looked for and reported specific situation during the test of the new games and we asked for and reciecved corrections for these - and then we verified the changes worked as designed. So guys who have decided the AI is dumb won't be convinced that the AI is better. The Designer notes outlines the actions that we asked to have corrected.
