View Full Version : A Tip o' the Hat to SES Customer Service

After suffering the computer gaming equivalent of a magazine explosion (fried motherboard), Capt. Zouave was pondering the prospect of being left high and dry on the shore, wistfully gazing out to sea at the plumes of smoke on the horizon while his machine was being sent back to the drydock for repair. :OHNO:

An e-mail to SES explaining my situation quickly got me back out on the water using a laptop, and while graphics-wise it's like going from a BB to an AC, it still has me in the game.

Kudos to SES for their prompt and understanding customer support! :hail:

For a Company with no Support, These guys are the greatest , when you need help they help, and quick.
Why if they put up a support page could you just think of what would happen!!!

Yes you are right, they have great support, and are on top of this game. And they do treat there customers right, I have waited for months for a fix or update from some of the BIG companys , and with no email no help nothing but a post saying go to this forum and the guys in there may be able to help, but we did nothing.
Can't beat this, and there are some good companys out that do help, but there a some that could take a good look at how they are doing it and learn.

Kudos to Norm and Jim from me also. Not many times you dinf the developers regularly posting on forums where the fans are. Other good developers I would list would be the Battlefront team and Paradox for their support of EU and Victoria.

Gents:

we have turned on the self re-activation feature of the SES Digital Delivery system!

You can down format your hard drive, replace your hard drive, etc, and then re-install the game and reactive your game on the same computer without having to contact us directly!

All you have to do is re-enter your original License ID# and Password.(Print them out for safe keeping). You dont have to use the Lic. transfer utility to do this.

This was a concern I had with your licence system as I plan to upgrade my system (upcoming FSX and such) at the end of the year.

Did I understand things right? I can giv the licence back to your server using F12 key, change my system and get it back? A little more info please!
