I have started adding in the initial OOB's and other data for the 3 battle threads in the WP Battle Briefings area.

Vesku
26 Aug 06, 01:41
Are they going to be opened at some points? Stritz and Plainting has no report of units involved, coming up?

I can't see any colours (red or blue) on the Operational Map, am I missing something?

Are they going to be opened at some points? Stritz and Plainting has no report of units involved, coming up?I will open them once I have determined most of the data such as the commander, opponent information, etc. I forgot to add the unit data for that battle. I'll get it up as soon as I can.

I can't see any colours (red or blue) on the Operational Map, am I missing something? It's not completed and is only a draft so far but I wanted to give you all an idea of what I was working toward.

I'm a bit worried that all three battles will be involving my troops :)

I'm a bit worried that all three battles will be involving my troops :)I have updated the battle threads . . . and Stonefire has access again.

Vesku
27 Aug 06, 01:24
So all the three battles have only 7th MRR engaged. I can handle them all if need be but I'd really like a subcommander to play one of them.

This CC has been so slow that I'm not surprised that several players have stopped checking the site. The only way to get them back in business is to contact them directly, that's why Stonefire has reported in. When the battle gets hot and most of our troops are involved we may need as many as dozen players to handle them all. At the moment we are ok with the number of players but maybe later we should try to get some missing players back here.

I'm still available to fight.

I will need to know who will be the assigned commanders for each of the 3 battles so I can add the information to the threads;

OP1 Battle: Aspertsham

OP1 Battle: Stritzling and Pleinting

OP1 Battle: Nord Haardorf and Parst

I'm waiting to hear from my subcommanders Rompa and Gungoboom.

Double Deuce

Rompa hangs around. Haven't seen Gungoboom in months.

Can you help me with movement orders for OP1 because I can't open the .uni file anymore. I need to know how far behind next formations are and how much I can delay before I'm running into our reserves. Judging from the positions of our scouts my troops will deploy far north in the maps and if I'm going to delay there will be very little fighting on these maps.

Cam, do you want me to stand and fight or delay? I can probably beat the recon that I encountered during pre-op but if there is US troops behind there will be heavy casualties even if I try to save my forces.

29 Aug 06, 12:22
Some units will be shifted around a little from the actual locations on the COCAT map (not too much but enough to allow you some maneuever room so you are not pinned against a map edge). And some units will NOT be included if they are on the opposite side from your home edge to aviod them being trapped and retreating into the enemy, at least from the start.

Most of your forces will be placed near the top 1/2 of the map and the designated "Home" edge as listed in the Battle Threads.

Vesku
29 Aug 06, 14:15
I was just expecting a little bigger maps but that's ok, I'll have to do with what I get. I hope we will see some good fighting.

I am still ready to fight :smoke:

Vesku
30 Aug 06, 01:14
I am fighting Haardorf/Parst myself.

Rompa, check the maps and units involved and let me know which one you prefer.

Jad, will you take the remaining one? There is very little difference in those battles, pretty much the similar troops from our side and the terrain has couple of hills, some woods and enough open fields to make you mad :)

Stonefire
30 Aug 06, 07:30
If you need i I am ready too

Vesku,

You can place me in wherever you need me to fight. If your other commander shows up I can always relinquish the fight to him.

DD

Where do I get the info I need to fill this slot for Vesku?

Jad

Vesku
30 Aug 06, 08:42
I'd rather take a subcommander than regimental commander so sorry Jad, I'll take Stonefire for the third battle ...

I'll send some info for what I want you to do when I get more info on the situation (like how much room we have to maneuver in before we get mingled with reserves).

JadThe projected OP 1 battles are listed in the WP Battle Briefings thread. I think Rompa and Stonefire will be filling the 2 slots, at least at present.

Yes, that's what I was thinking about, you will have a lot to do when your own regiment is engaged and I know you will be with us until the end :) Thanks for offering your help!

It's 7th ... oh man, you really need to stop drinking

Hi DD + Vesku
I can see that I am going to figth dita at Stritzling and Pleinting.

So what do I do now, do I contact Dita now, or should we dicuss the orders fro the fight first Vesku?

DD - are we self doing the setup - or are you?

If you have any questions just ask, the ropes have been set already and I don't want to tie you down too much.

Make sure you understand the limits of WinSPMBT and the map edge exiting so you don't get pinned against a corner or side you can't get out of. ;)

I also need Cam to allocate Arty and Air to each specific battle. I saw him mention the overall assignments but not what for each battle or maybe I missed it. He can post it in each of the now open Battle Threads.

EDIT: I found it I think?

Sounds very good. Two batteries of 152mm, a battalion of 122m and 8 helos per battle. Four Migs and two SUs per battle too.

Cameronius

DD,
That is correct with the exception of the 152s. They will not be used in this turn. Vesku is free to divy up the rest as he sees fit.

I'm happy with the original, just drop the 152mm guns.

Four Migs, two SUs, a battalion of 122m and 8 helos per battle. There are only 4x SU's left after using those 2 for the recon.

Also, need "Loadout Package (http://www.strategyzoneonline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=36277)" designated for Aircraft (Mig's and SU's).

Vesku

Migs with Package 3 and SUs with P2, assign the SUs for my subs, two each.

DD is making calculations, you left such a mess behind that it takes time :) Can you provide me with info of casualties company by company?

I'm here,
And ready to start OP turn 2

Vesku
13 Feb 07, 08:41
Be patient, it takes time for DD to do the math, we have quite a mess in one battle (about 40 hard vehicles lost) and NATO in another.

Cameronius
13 Feb 07, 09:31
Yes,
I was just reading over some of the casualty reports.
I was very disappointed to see 18 2S1's were destroyed. How the %^&* did that happen?:freak: We were supposed to be weapons tight with Div arty assests!

Orderly! Fetch me my Tokarev!

Yeah, I didn't want to raise hell for losing 100% of my troops, I thought I just misplaced them for a while. Real casualties are less than a handful of vehicles lost in Parst, I didn't fire a single shell from offboard arty just to avoid unnecessary casualties.

Oh good! I have only been checking the forum occasionally since before Christmas, so I thought I had missed something.
