Hi there,

I have a problem running the campaign in this and can't find any reference to the problem I experience.

When I start the campaign with the attack on Port Aruther, the battle plays out fine, and then the distance increases so the computer ends the battle - so I can move around the final review situation fine - but when I 'end the battle' the screen just goes blank, with the FPS monitor in the bottom corner and then the game hangs.

it doesn't end and go back to the campaign map.

Am I missing something obvious about ending a campaign battle to get back to the map - or do I have some other known problem?

I have the latest version of the game, BIOS and various drivers for my PC - including Direct X...

HELP!!! The game runs fine, and I can enter the campaign game normally - but not if I start with Port Arthur attack.

I think I've seen this myself. If a battle has ended and the user selects End Battle, nothing happens.

You must select Return to Campaign to end the battle and continue the campaign.

Cheers... I suspected it was user error rather than computer error.

Be nice if ES made this fool-proof, however.

we do plan to make it fool proof. we may also give the option to extend the battle. We ran across this same issue in both Age of Sail I & II. There were times when you were chasing a fleeing task force and you were only able to get your carronades in position to fire once every few minutes.

There are situations in DG:RJW where you want to continue the fight!

Aye, it's annoying when two Russian ships manage to flee the map, even though I've got faster units inbound.

I shall stay silent abou the fool proof elements... although I am finding it hard to mine places.

It's always ugly when a boardgamer gets on a computer!
