Briefing: Your basic mission is to recon the area to the North, West and East for enemy forces and fully secure Parst to screen the Main Body of NATO forces moving up from the South.

Additional mission objectives need to be obtained from the NATO Force Commander.

NOTE: Make sure when deploying and fighting the battle you remember that you can only exit forces off of the map via your designated Retreat Edge.

I have attached the DEPLOY File for the Nord Haardorf and Parst Battle to the 1st post in this thread.

Whoever will be the commander for this battle needs to download the file and load it using the WinSPMBT Scenario Editor and then deploy the available units "within the vicinity outlined by the 'X's and as mentioned in the 1st post of the thread.

Be sure to set the facings and ranges as your deploy file will become the main setup file for creating the Pbem battle file. Do not set ranges to 0 as the game engine sometimes automatically sets them to the default range when I add the other sides units into the file.

When you are done deploying, save the scen file, zip and reply to this thread making sure to re-attach the zipped deploy file to your post OR email it to me at doubledeuce@combat-campaigns.com

FIRE SUPPORT:

1 Bty/355th PzG FA/35th PzG Bde/12th Pz Div (155mm)

The third battery(203mm) is not to be fired without permission from Division. It is there to fire counterbattery fire(off board)


I will probobly take this battle.

We need to get a commander for this battle and get the deploy file created. The other 2 battles are just about ready to go (just rechecking all my OOB data :-) ).

No I'll take this one. Got to get my boots dirty so to speak. We do need some new recruits. I am however, concerned about 2 things. 1)the difference in skill levels between teams. 2)spies. I'm thinking of recruiting someone directly from the Blitz as a US commander. You can let ColPHIL in. The other guy from Brasil who claims to play JAD often is quite possibly a plant. There is no record of his games anywhere. Then again I could be paranoid.

The Orbat does'nt square with the DL. No Scout plt from CC8 and missing a M113 I think. Are we not doing the Plt in CC8?

Shortreengage, i dotn think youre being paranoid. If something smells fishy, then it probably is. ColPhil is indeed a respectable player from what i observed on the Blitz, and in my opinion he would be a valuable addition.

If we are short of battle commanders, then would you like for me to take up command of a force in another battle as well?

The Orbat does'nt square with the DL. No Scout plt from CC8 and missing a M113 I think. Are we not doing the Plt in CC8?They will be set as reinforcements, they are just off the map edge coming in from the south/southwest.

By all means if an OOB looks to be missing something please let me know so I can recheck it.

Presently there are no other battles. I did'nt know of ColPhil on the blitz. but the other guy looks like a plant.

The actual Pbem File is being uploaded to the WP Forums. Please make contact with your opponent if you haven't already done so. You can do this via PM, email or posting in the open part of the forums.

REMEMBER: The Battle is to only go 24 Turns for FOW reasons. Once you complete Turn 24 you send me the file.

. . . I cannot seem to get any .zip attachments (and some of the others) to work so I sent the updated Pbem file to Vesku via email. The battle should be rejoined shotrtly.

4 turns into it. In contact with 4-8 Hinds. They fired 5 AT2s and killed 1 APC in the east. Blowpipes engaged and may have damaged or routed off map 2 in the East. 2 in the far north look to be trying to cut off my withdrawl route.
Minimal mounted movement on my part. Kicking out the dismounts for a better look. 120mm mortars hitting one of the Blowpipe sites. Anticipated and displaced. Continuing mission.

Turn 6 complete. Not much this go. Observing 120mm fire on same hill. Requested 155 CB on mortars.Dismounted patrols and OPs continuing to patrol and observe. Scout section checking 6. Enemy commander starting to get annoyed due to lack of movement/targets on my part.

Continuing mission.
