OP1 Battle Update

Just an FYI.

I have 3 battle maps completed and ready to go. Yes, this means there will be 3 players needed for each team this turn to fight WinSPMBT battles.

I will begin creating the base Battle Threads soon. In them, I will post the basic information for each battle, draft OOB's, and what is needed from each team, inlcuding commanders to do the fighting, etc.

For those following along with the online map, this fighting for the full Turn 1 is occurring in the "vicinity" of hexes DD6, GG7 and JJ6.

I am also in the process of redoing the Online Operational Map. It will be color coded so it will be easier to see who controls what areas. The only drawback is the actual map text will be unreadable because of the reduced size.

Actual WinSPMBT maps to be used for the battles are available in each team's appropriate Battle Thread. This way, commanders can download and review the terrain in advance. ;)

I will need commanders for each of these battles so if you are interested please post in the secure areas. You might need to work actual assignments out among senior unit commanders who may have units in more than 1 battle and may wish to delegate tactical control for this turn.

The initial Battle files have been created.

NATO forces will be deployed first, Warsaw Pact forces will move first.

As soon as the NATO commaders have been assigned I'll get the actual Pbem files created and we'll be on for the actual turn and the real fighting to start.

I will also post the cropped out Map Sections used in the 3 Battles to the forums for others to DL and look over and see where the action is taking place. :smoke:

NATO players need to check the OP1 Battle Threads for updates!

We may be short 1 of the 3 needed tactical commanders so feel free to step up and get involved in the fighhing if you are on the NATO team. This applies to all on the team and so it does not matter what unit assignments you may be currently slotted for on the Team Roster.

2 of the 3 battle have been created. I will be adding in the passwords and creating the actual Pbem files soon. ONce they are done they will be uploaded to the NATO Battle Threads and can then be downloaded and Pbem contact/gaming initiated.

Just a reminder that I need the "player 2" sides for each battle to cc: me during their Pbem batles on every 5th Turn they send back to their opponent.

If at all possible, I would like to see the ongoing OP1 Battles finished up by Christmas. This way I can update everything and have things ready to go for the next round when the vacations are over. ;)

I'm talking about my battle at Parst against shortreengage, it's been really slow lately. It's good to see that you've made good progress in your battle.

Ah! My bad Vesku, I thought you were talking about my one!. As far as I know, Shortreengage has put the other battle on hold to wait until Me and Azog catch up with you guys (as youre on turn 20 or so? Right?) We are still on turn 13 (largely to my fault) and Shortreen mentioned waiting for us to catch up so that the battles can finish at the same time, and hopefully before New Year comes.
