View Full Version : Update is up
Summary:
1. Sun sets in the west.
2. Task forces keep their sailing orders after a battle
But:
The ships appear on the map on a collision course, or on top of the other. here is the first glimpse of the Japanese fleet I have encountered:

There is a possibility that my savefile from 1.012 is corrupted. DAMN! It took me 2 hours to save that "Pallada" yesterday, and now I have to start over again!
Are you sure those ships aren't dancing together? Looks kind of like they're doing a dosey-doe. D'oh!
I was halfway sending my ships to finish them all off, just for fun.
But this update does not work for me - I cannot start a new campagn, the time is not running, regardless if I have a TF selected or not.

Same here - cannot start the clock running in the Russian Campaign.

Have already exchanged a few emails with SES support. They are aware of the problem.
Now to sleep. Its 11.30 PM here.
THX for the head-up, I think I`ll avoid this one for now.
Z.
Ok there was a issue with the file for the update, Norm was in Texas and sent it up for us to download and it was corrupted on the transfer. They are working on getting the new one up now and it should not be two long. Here is the message I got on this.
Storm Eagle Studios to Daedalus:
Campign Files got corrupted in the transfer.
Norm is in SW Texas and they are having a lot of lighting....
New build up shortly...

The ships appear on the map on a collision course
For what it's worth, I saw this a few times in older versions. Rarely. I'd usually see it when I'd have a pair of destroyer divisions get intercepted.

I've only seen ships start a battle in the act of colliding once, but that was in 1.012. It was 2 IJN auxCs up near Hakodate.

When I think about those collisions I came to the conclusion, that the Japanese fleet was so shocked seeing Admiral Rhetor The Invincible's pennant flying on the "Retvizan", that they decided to commit the honorable "Seppuku".
Something must have been changed in the TF formation editor, because the problem, as far as I see, appears only in old save files.
And now I have to save the "Pallada" again! It would be nice to have a mix of both campaings - one starting AFTER the Port Arthur attack, but BEFORE the Battle of Chemulpo.

All the old problems should be gone in new game started in 1.014
The joys of a multi-threaded apllication.

I'm getting the collisions at the start of generated battles with 1.014. I tried it 3 times with slighty different settings and sizes seems only the opposing side is affected and the less points I choose the smaller the collision, max points produced all enemy ships kissing.

Collisions do appear. Something still wrong Guys!
Waiting for another update, before playing. And hoping on the "Pallada" saver type of campaign; or maybe the "wake up times" cut down a bit? Anything over 1,5 minute means losing a cruiser.

I just got a save game that replicates the problem perfectly..
Looking at it in the task force editor, It seems like division lines with no adjacent spaces are being smashed together, while, adding a space between divisions creates a perfect line.
This is definately a bug.
Save file (zipped) attached
If, after loading, you DON'T hit F9(and, you'll need to hit it fast!), you'll go straight into the battle..If you want, hit F9, change the formation (1/1st Destroyer Flotilla) and play with the results..Be careful, however-this battle/save is right at midnight...It probably will overwrite your Autosave, so..if you play from Autosaves, you might want to take precautions..

If you can make sure that you send this to SES so they will get it straight from you.
This way they will see if faster and they will have a way to contact you if they need.

Yep, I am also experiencing these collisions with 1.014 although the campaign was started with 1.010.
