Help! I'm going away for a week in SIX HOURS TIME and I'm getting an error when moving DG licence from a PC to a laptop. I input my licence ID and password and get "Error #4 occured. Please contact technical support".
Jim - help! I have to get some sleep now and be up at 4:00am my time to leave. I hope you can respond here.

Are you using the license transfer utility? The process is described in the Players' Guide pdf page #73. I do not believe it would be asking for license id or password.
License transfers do not require any on-line interaction, or any input of password or id. All you do is put some kind of common writable medium (floppy, usb flash disk, etc. that can be read on both target and source computers) on the target computer (the one you want to transfer to), launch the License transfer utility from the start menu on that computer, and follow the prompts. It will write a file to the disk and ask you to take that to the source computer (the one you want to transfer from), launch the utility there, then return the disk to the target computer for one last run of the utility.

Aha! Ran it again and I got it working. Excellent. I must have pressed the wrong button :)
