If you haven't noticed it yet. ;)

Nice, looks like it finally fixes the mines-I created a new task force with just the minelayers, and the capacity stuck to the ships!-A 'laying mines' message is also added...On a strange note, though, the mine graphic on the campaign map is now offest-It could be for readability? Takes a bit of getting used to..

The missing 47mm/37mm issue is still present.

Do I have to start a new campaign (again), or do the fixes work in a running campaign?

TIA

Your 1.010 campaigns should be just fine.

I don't have to re-deploy the course of a TF after an engagement anymore, yippee!

I'm getting some pretty bad graphic distortions in some battles...Anyone else seeing this? You'll know what I'm talking about if you have...the whole interface goes haywire...tiles drawn everywhere, the menu dissappears...The best you can do is track down the menu funtctions, save, and restart..

Moi aussi.

Also, some of my ships seem to be leaking! No wait, that's just bad tactics.

Yep, I've been getting the same problem :(

Arrgh..I hope this gets fixed soon..It's made the campaign just about unplayable, sadly.

Well as long as you didn't save over the campaign's save file, just load it up when this gets fix with the next version.

Ooo! good point :D

Dogbert

Hopefully it's just a bug in the user interface, so it won't affect the save game data... hopefully.

I'm getting the same problem in battles, none on the campaign map though. Alt+Tab clears up the graphics (because the textures reload when the game is reinvoked?), but anamolies come right back after a short time.

Zakalwe

yup,

same here.

Saved, restarted the game, happened again after some minutes....

ARRRGHHH, just after intercepting my first Maru ship....:nervous:

Same thing here. Simple put:

The sky goes a sorta blue-gray haze, with clouds as darker areas.
The minimap disappears completely, unless the cursor is within the POV, in which case the crosshair appears where it's supposed to down in the minimap area, but the minimap is still invisible.
One of the inverted triangles over a distant ship will smear all the way across the screen, but the other triangles stay normal.
The compass rose goes all funky like in the screenshot, but it usually stays in the lower left corner where it belongs.
Interestingly, the ocean surface and the ship models mostly stay normal.

Oki,

"fought" the above mentioned battle to the end, the Maru disengaged it seems, even the visibily still was good (3 minutes to sunset) and my ships were doing 18 knots vs. 9 knots of the Maru. Kinda flawed logic behind, it seems.

Hint: don`t touch the mini-map with a 10 ft. pole for now, it seems to cause the problems. Just scroll and zoom in the 3D view.

Anyone can confirm this?

Anyone can confirm this

I've had it do this without doing anything with the mini-map..
It's probably some Direct-X related issue

Oh well, looks like we all get shore leave until 1.012 comes out :)

By the way-Although mine warfare is much, much better in this version, there's still a bug, I think..I noticed thatyou can drop the total allotment of mines on a given ship as many times as you want to in one sortie..Just keep adding mine missions, and the supply gets refilled.

Sigh, I've got this problem too. I had just abandoned my other campaign game because the Japanese had completely and mysteriously disappeared.

I can't get it. From what I've been reading, probably a good thing;)

Zakalwe
17 Aug 06, 18:23
yup,

confirmed.

Had 3 "battles" without happening something (two Japanese AC chasing my Vladivostok cruisers). In the forth, I had this error again without touching the mini-map.

Going to bed now.

You don't really need to take shore leave. Pop over to NWS website and grab a copy of the latest version of Warship Combat: Dreadnoughts and Battleships. Covers the whole period from the RJW until the end of WW2. Very detailed, easy to play, and as stable as a solid oak table. Not designed for great eye-candy, as the effort went into the detail and the AI. So deceptively simple interface controlling a top-notch naval simulation. There's also a demo. Pretty friendly bunch over there too. Not a question of better, or worse, but just different, and it'll give you something to do between updates, that need more updates.

Looks like one of the files got corruted int he master transfer.
1.011 should update as of now.

1.010 update to 1.012 should be available very shortly!

Sorry about that folks!

All should be well again!

I certainly hope it wasn't deliberate programming :)
