Hey,

I just had a inf squad captured, then freed by another passing friendly squard within 40 seconds of the same turn: but they are now "unarmed."
Has anyone had this happen to them?

Yeah I have had it happen, the squad ain't much good for battle now. Not sure if they still count as captured for VP now?

I hate when that happens. I have had a full squad surender instead of fighting when he got too far in front of his plantoon. :p

I think maybe your platoon sergeant should keep tighter reigns on his squads.:D

What sucked is the closest Axis unit is 70m away!

If I remember correctly the situation, your boys were inside the U of my defenders. They were on a bridge (I believe there's 100% exposure) and taking fire from almost 180 degree arc. Green units tend to route pretty quickly, no live HQs close by didn't help their cause. Still annoying moment, no doubt about it.

Get their butts moving to the back of your lines ASAP. They count big time at the end of the scenario for points. They may be worthless now for fighting but they will cost you double the points if they they get captured. If you Rescue them, the enemy looses the points, you dont gain any extra, but you dont lose any either.
