View Full Version : Uncrewed arty....
I'm too lazy to peruse the rules so here goes, can you recrew the sections or are they just decorations on the map once the crew is killed???? :dead:
Pretty sure there is a "recrew battery" option in the unit menu.
Ask Alex..just uncrewed 2 of his batteries at Prairie Grove (probably the zenith for me there LOL)
I'm newish to this game system, that's why I can't say for sure. Battleground for certain had a recrew battery option though...I imagine HPS Campaigns do too..

From the command menu:
Selecting Recrew Battery can be used to recrew an artillery battery that has become Uncrewed. To do this, first select the battery to be recrewed and the unit to be used to recrew the battery. Note that only undisrupted, unrouted infantry or cavalry can be used to recrew a battery and that only cavalry can be used to recrew Horse Artillery. The unit used to recrew the battery must have more than 25 men for each gun in the battery. For example, to recrew a 4 gun battery, you must use a unit with more than 100 men.

A battery that is recrewed in this way will
1) Be Disrupted
2) Have F morale.

Yes, good work by Yankee sharpshooters:)
I wanted to reply in 'adequate' way but my boys botched all my plans.
When I've at hand First Missouri Brigade there is even no need to give them orders. They are always going thru enemy's lines like thunderstorm.
Their brothers from Praire Grove campaign aren't so good...
