we will have an autoupdate available approx 10:00 PM Est Thursday eve.

We have put some code in to intercept the system resource overload that a few people are experiencing in the 2nd Russian Campaign.

Too be sure if this solves your problem, if you have had a crash of any kind while playing the 2nd Russian campaign, please start a fresh game and see if this solves your issue.

Your current saved game may have the data corrupted.

We are working very hard to eliminate issues, and we have whittling down the remaining users with each update.

Thanks

Thank you very much. While the game has been pretty buggy, the after sales service has been fantastic. It'll be good to see Norm surface when he's finished.

I've got an autoupdate issue. I download which works fine, but when it tries to apply it, it says it can't create the output file. Any ideas? It's in the default directory by the way.

It sounds like something in your system is preventing the update from working. Possibly an avti-virus program or firewall setting.

If you close the game and boot it again, it will try the auto update again.

Turned off the firewall, got no antivirus running. First time I've had this problem, any other ideas?

1.007 worked for me!

Of course, 007 worked for me; I'm Cobb, James Cobb - licensed to game!

Hi,
I just got through 4 days of the russian side of the -War campaign in 1.007. No lock-ups so far-Never been able to get through 1 day before the update.

Looks like the ammo 0%'s still there....
But, I was able to drop a full load of mines on the Elliot islands..

I was able to get through 3 battles and 2 days in a Russian campaign and no black screens!!!!!

But after my last battle, I did get a pop-up box that said an internal error had occured, and I crashed to desktop. This is something new, and I'll foreword the file.

But it does seems progress is being made.

Well, not sure what happened. I went through the update loop four times, then finally on the fifth it loaded up. Oh well, it's working now. :)

Are you playing a game started before 1.007?

If so, you may want to start another game.

We will have another update coming later tonight.

Hate to complain, but can we please get a readme(version#).txt file in the updates so we know what's been changed? Thanks.

Somewhat strange - my game says its 1.008 not 1.007. Or maybe my eyes deceive me... I shall run the game once more...

I don't know what you changed in this latest version, BUT THE BLACK SCREEN CRASH IS NOW HISTORY! I can play as the Russians with no problems now. :joy:

Thank you Storm Eagle Studios for your amazing support! :toast:

The black screen issue I was having with day 2 of the Russian campaign is gone.

Are any of the minor bugs fixed, like the mine capacity issue?

Mines are fixed

I am getting a couple of CTDs and I definitely had a ship go missing in the task force reorganisation page.

I need to experiment some more to work out which bit exactly is wrong.

Jim -- it was started with the latest patch. I got your e-mail, thanks for your work on this.

The game is really growing on me. The "battle" before the crash was actually a small task force of Russian cruisers and battleships running down a lone Japanese merchantman -- but, hey it was fun. The poor maru slowly rolled over on her side and sank just like shown on combat footage. I could almost hear the groans and creaks of the hull.

Mine updated to 1.008 from 1.006 too. There must have been two updates in rapid succession which have come through in a combined download - I guess

I'm still on 1.006 and the campaign is running fine apart from the mines thing. Questions is - do I update and restart? I'm having such fun! :)

Right, 1.008 came rapidly on the heels of 1.007. Haven't checked 1.008 out yet.

Hi,
Looks like 1.008 fixes the 0% ammo issue, but..yep it seems to crash more in transition from battle back to campaign..I just had an odd one wherein it made it back to the map, but 10 minutes later the clock froze up..a code '22' crash..This is the russian side in the -OHV-War campaign.

Whilst upgrading from 1.006 to 1.008, I also decided to update my gfx driver. Now I'm getting frequent ctd's - well blue screens with scrambled sound. Not an issue before, so I'm rolling back my gfx driver just to see what happens. I have an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro.
