I understand that Internal support means that only the units in the current formation will fully cooperate with each other. For TWIN, it seems to usually occur in formations of 3 infantry batallions, but not always.
Anyway, if I have an attack on a hex where I am using only internal support units, I know I am okay in terms of best coordination. But, if I have a Force support divisional HQ that is dug in in the front line next to the target hex and it thus supports the same attack, will this conflict with the internal support units? Or does that only apply to direct involvement in an attack?
I guess the same question goes to naval and air support. If it's indirect (on combat support for air, e.g.), will it conflict with units on internal support that are attacking or will it only conflict if you are providing direct combat support with air or naval against a specific hex being attacked by internal support units?
Do those questions make any sense? Does anything I say make any sense? :clown:
