View Full Version : Unbalanced Computar Generated Battles

I guess it is not really a bug, per se, but just about every computer generated single battle I've generated is horribly unbalanced in favor of the Ruskies (like 5 IJN armored/protected cruisers and 6 DDs vs. 6 Russian Battleships, or 6 IJN Battleships vs 9 Russian Battleships).

hehe. Not that unbalanced considering that most of the Japanese ships are considerably better than their Russian counterparts. A lot of the Japanese armored cruisers are, or nearly are, on par with the Russian BBs. I really can't wait for more setup options for this phase of the game though, I really think this is where a lot of the replay value will be once it's fleshed out.

Well, I don't think I've gotten a battle yet in which one side doesn't immediately turn away and flee. I've never seen a single Japanese BB. Maybe I need to generate more.

Well, qualitatively superior or not, I have won every computer generated battle as the Russians and lost every one as the IJN . . .

Well, nothing replaces a good editor! I'm still suprised a game at this cost doesn't including one. Nothing increases play-value like an editor.

buying ships for points for both sides manually would solve issue
unbalanced engagements were not rare but there is not fun as one side immiedietaly withdraw
certainly nobody will go with PCs against BBs
