View Full Version : Demo Problem , Just started
Ok, I have been playing the demo of the game. I have been able to play it every time I tried.
Now when I try to start the game it ask me if I want to eval or what and I pick eval. When I do it just drops back to the desktop and does nothing.
I tried twice to start the game but it will not. But what it is doing is it is counting down on the times I get to play. And it is not just counting down 1 for 1 it is making leaps. At this rate I will not get to play at all.
So if anyone has any Ideas let me know please as this is the only way I will get to play the game for quite a while, and I would like to be able to play as many times as I can.
Also I have changed nothing on my computer , no installs or uninstalls , no drivers nothing, so I have no Idea why it is doing this.
Odd activity if is counting down fast. I thought the '30 day trial' offer was very misleading as it is really a '30 plays trial' ie. if you start it up 30 times on the first day it will only last one day. If its says 30 days you really should be able to play it for 30 days and expect to have to upgrade on midnight of the 30th day and no earlier.

As of now when I try to start the game it says I have 20 days but it has dropped from 22 time to ,well I think the last one was 12 not sure. I have had very little problems from the start and it never has said it was upgrading.
I even had the firewall and antivirus off to see if that was it. But it made no change.
That is why I asked if the demo would be upgraded as I thought it was. But now I do not know if it has or has not.
Well I guess I am done playing the game for awhile. Because no matter what I do it will not start now.
Well I'm done playing the game. It is out and did not let me in the game again. I have no Idea what happend , it was running great yesterday and today I went from 22 games left to 0 in less than an hour lol.
It never did start just asked me the type, I chose Eval and then the game just dropped to desktop and that was it, till I looked and saw that it was counting games down real fast.
What a bummer.

Not yet, as it is Sunday and I doubt anyone is in.
I can not get the game anyway so I will just wait. But thanks for the help

Uninstall the demo, then reinstall it.
I already did, even downloaded the game again. No change.
Still will not run.

Delete the DG.cfg file in the Distant Guns directory.
One thing I have noticed with the demo is, when you do an update it takes off one of your'e available plays after updating and goes straight back to the first screen. annoying.:mad:
