Before reporting any issues in 1.004, please do the following first.

1. If you have any AMD processor, not just the AMD 64, odds are you need to upgrade your drivers. Look below for the link.

2. Campaign games saved before 1.004 may have been corrupted. Start a fresh campaign game and see if your issue is still present. Just loading a file that already has a data error in it will result in disappearing ships, etc.

It appears that you may have to update the AMD 64 Processor direvers as well. This should be done as a general rule anyway....

Did the above.

The russian campaign does still hangs for me on day 2.
Checked gamelogs from earlier versions and it stops after the same AI[operational cycle] each time.

The operational cycle is: AI[operational cycle 24] and the last line each time is:

AI[operational cycle 24]: End create_po_task_force(2nd Torpedo Boat Squadron) (x.x s)

Anyone else having the russian campaign stopping at this point?

I was having the same issue with it locking up in the russian campaign on day 2, however upgrading the driver seems to have fixed the issue. It does require that you uninstall the current driver, reboot and then install the new driver to take effect.

Scratch that,,, It still goes to a black screen after a few days. Can we get this fixed? $64 should not crash like this out of the gate???

It doesn't help at all. Black screen, black screen, black screen...

Besides, I already had all the latest drivers for just about every important device installed in my PC. Unfortunately Distant Guns is the only game that's been causing so much trouble on my almost brand new computer, and I've tried quite a few games in the last 4 months or so. *Very* frustrating...

Edit: And I've even tried reinstalling the game after reinstalling a bunch of drivers, just to be sure.

Same here - black screen of death, running an intel chip so no AMD associated problems.

No difference noticeable with any of the patches with the exception of no merchant positions being spotted at all (could see them all previously - pre 1.03 - probably shouldn't have?) possibly because none of my raiders has had time to make contact when the black screen crash occurs - which was possibly the first contact?
