The force of 15 ships was just heading back to Vladivostok to rest up for a while after being on patrol and vanished in the inlet just before the port while on the F8 Increase time at 20x. Campaign time was 13 days, no other problems until this glitch appeared. The fleet was being pursued by the 4th Squadron who were some way off and no real threat. The fleet seemed to vanish after it outran the enemy and disengaged. When I went back to the campaign map the fleet was no longer marked on the map.

This is a showstopper for me at the moment as I only had the 15 Vladivostock ships and 3 at Port Arthur to play with. The Port Arthur ships are still there, but it is hardly worth progressing the campaign with three ships.

I am running on the latest patch. Norm do you want the saves before and after the disappearance of the fleet to analyse? Where do I send the files ?

MBV, I have also had dissappearing TFs as Russians after outrunning the Japanese AI with the latest patch v 1.001 in the Campaign. I have saved games that maybe can help Norm sort this out.

Mine were not as crucial as you describe---but it still is annoying to lose the ships after working hard to get away :OHNO:

Near Chemulpo: In this last case I split my division (all two ships--lol) into 2 separate divisions so to get the Protected CA Varyag away from the slow gunboat Koreyets and at least save the CA. I was able to elude with both after heading two different directions on the tactical battle map. Both survived but then went back to campaign mode and those two ships were no longer there.....

Note: I have saved games both prior to the dissappearing Division and after---interesting that the one save which I happened to save it right prior to the tactical battle development now CTDs every time I reload it and then click on that Division on the campaign map....?! The other saves prior to that one don't crash when reloading them and clicking on the suspect division...?

Let me know Norm or other Storm Eagle folks if you want these to use to analyse...

Norm and Co. seem to have gone to ground with the latest batch of problems. Hardly any tech. support questions are being answered on here now. Hope this situation improves.

Sounds like you have the same problem as me Bigbog ie. fleet/ships vanish after disengaging.

I haven't had any feedback from Storm Eagle yet.

Send your saves to support@stormeaglestudios.com

MBV,
Thanks for the link...I've sent off my files to Storm Eagle to see if they can fix the problem.

I certainly have faith they will address it.

As Norm said, he's fixing, not posting.

Just noticed that in his bug fixing update. Good to see he is on the case :)

I played about two hours into the Russian campaign and haven't seen any issues yet. Didn't save it though.

Will start another one tonight.

I'm on day 3 and I'm saving and restarting pretty often, but so far things seem to be running okay.

Just to see what would happen I let the bugged campaign run on fast speed through to the middle of March. It gave me a Russian victory every day without even moving one of my remaining three ships out of Port Arthur. I guess if I had left it running long enough I would have won the war at that rate while sitting on the quayside drinking vodka - the whole campaign was clearly thoroughly messed up.

The fastest accelerated time I used in the campaign I played was 100x and not 1000x. I did notice at 1000x things were moving too fast and was wondering if that's when some of the campaign issues show up.

Could be, but if that is the case then they should not give us the option to run it that fast.
