GUys:
The auto-update is now available!
Exit your game and reload it. It should check for the update and ask you if you want it.
ENjoy!
Excellent news. Any details on what has been fixed in the update?
Seems good so far... I had a save game that would keep crashing when I jumped back to campaign map. Fixed.
I've also not yet had any ships disappear from the campaign map.

Glad to hear it!

That must be a time record for a patch (except for MMOs)!
Hmm... and the disappearing ship bug strikes again :OHNO:

If you are playing a campaign game before the update, you may have to start a new campaign for that one to go away...
Sound advice. Thanks

I think it would be really nice if there was a forum subtopic called "Announcements" for threads like this. And while we're on the subject...
Other needed subtopics:
Bug reports
Features requests
Mods

Heh, not that it is too important but the update burned one of my evaluation runs up :) I up still in the fence about the game, though the fast updates and well know devotion that Norm and Jim have shown in the past make me more inclined to make the purchase. I had a couple of desktop dumps, but I updated my video driver, deleted the DG.cfg and ran the scenario to the end without a problem made me feel better.
Well, back to trying to bump the graphics up again and see if I dump to desktop or not!

Oh, just go buy the damn thing, and skip 1 of your regular pub crawls next week, and it'll all be even in the end as far as your bank account goes. Your liver will thank you for the momentary respite :D.
Warts and all, DG is an excellent game. Of course, I'm biased, being as this is my favorite type (naval) and era (predreadnought) of wargame. So don't listen to me. Go blow that $65 on booze, hookers, and whatever bailbondsmen and fines are necessary the next morning. But what would you rather have to remember the evening by? Warts in embarassing places, or warts on a mostly very good computer game?
Of course, I'm not a good role model, and that all of the above behavioral misconduct is imputed to you from my own sordid existence, because I have this misguided ideal that I should judge everybody equally by my lack of standards. Furthermore, you should NEVER take my advice on anything, even if it's in my areas of shady expertise. Just ask my parole officer :D.

Well now, since you put it that way... I'll think about it :) I have left my wine, women and song mode long behind too... the wife would not approve the hookers, I am sure of that! I can't booze it up much anymore as I spend far too much time at home, and everyone knows the best run is away from home port with a winger nearby to make sure you get back to the boat safely. ;) Come to think of it, I was that winger on more then one occasion :D
