View Full Version : Anti-Cheat Features
I am currently playing on two computers, doing half a turn on one, mailing the half finished file to myself and doing some more on the other. I am concerned that this will set of the multiple reload alerts.
Also, what if I load up a TWiN game against Elmer to test some stuff. Would that also set-off the reload warnings as well?
Ok, the reload feature, is, not perfect.
As long as you save your game as 'A' and then mail it and then open it and seave it as 'B' and do not go back to 'A' you shoudl be fine. I don't think mailing it off will cause a problem.
If you load up a completely seperate game against Elmer, no problems will exist. As in, as long as it has nothgin to do with the save files for your PBEM game, which it can't, if you're playign Elmer, you'll eb fine.
Thanks Veers. So as long as I keep changing the name of the save I should be OK.

Haha, so long as you don't save a file as , for example, 'A' and then load that up and save it as 'B' and then go back and play 'A' again, you'll be fine. You could, for example, play 'A' and then save it again as 'A', effectively saving over your previous save and you'll be fine again. Sorry for the confusion. :D

I am practically sure I have seen false reload warnings that were triggered by nothing else than saving a file, then going back to THAT (not a previous) file later. In my opinion, best not to pay too much attention to that stuff. Play people you don't have reason to distrust.

Heldenkaiser has a point. Though you also shouldn't be afraid to play new people, spread the fun about. :D
When I play back my opponents move I get these buzzer sounds occassionally. Does anyone else get these sounds during the play back?
So far I have not gotten any restart warnings from mangus ... but i have with other players I'm engaged with. But no worry for me ... we're playing to learn.

Those buzzers pobably indicate an undo by your opponent. Normally, the replay also highlights those in full text.
