Tell us your luckiest experiences with timely artillery shots and airstrikes.
Or tell us the time you lost the game because your planes couldn't tell the stars and stripes from the Iron Cross.....
My luckiest was two days ago against Mangus2000. From what I know at the moment a Hurricane II, carrying 2 500 pounders, killed a PZIVG that was threatening to kill several of my Stuart IIs, and wiped out at least a squad and a half, maybe 2.
Arty- My un-luckiest was a turn in which I had two PzIV's killed by "top penetrated" Soviet arty hits 2 blocks apart.
Air- The "AI's" best turn for me was in a game where it killed 3 PzIV's moving along the reverse slope of a hill with 2 dropped bomb explosions. Only 1 was hit, the other two just went "knocked out."
I just had 2 t-34s ko'd and 8 guns damaged from two bombs dropped. The tanks were spread out over about a 450m area. I'm still in shock. Could not have placed the two bombs better, both were direct hits to the 2 t-34's. That kinda takes all the stuffin' out of one's attack.

I would call this airstrike very lucky. Considering the fact that it did nothing to the Panther in the Pic, LOL. It was bracketed and had several possible fatal near misses from rockets fired from a P-38 Lightnig, but as i said the Panther came away without a scratch. :smoke:

My best arty strike was when an opponent had 4 Panthers poised on a ridge 1400 mtrs away. I called in a 155 barrage and hit two for KOs. :)
