You still have plenty of good reinforcements coming. Take every hex in which there is no defender, if only to see if there's something adjacent. Continue to work the Caen area as you have positions for scoring quite a few flank attacks.

You really DON'T want to stack your ships together and there is no reason to do so - they make for an incredible target and could easily turn into now you see them, no you don't. But...that's a small issue relative to the front.

Busting through the defenses around Omaha presents you probably the softest targets you are going to find for the maximum pay-off. Hit it as hard as you can and try to get three combat rounds there. If it is a question between using a unit to attack or advancing it into an unoccupied hex deeper into his positions...take the hex.

Overall though, it may come down to a total front grind in most areas - which can work for you, but it is dependent upon getting 3 rounds of fighting in. This won't be easy going for you...but work Omaha and Caen...keep doing what you are doing in the advance to Cherbourg.

I agree with Heinz. There is another thing: the enemy has many uncommitted reserves, and those you need him to send someplace relatively unimportant (i.e. not Caen). I'd use the two (?) US inf battalions to push across the Taute river towards Isigny and mainly Carentan, hopefully several German battalions will be sent to shore this up, and the sector Carentan- St Lo is anyway difficult for you to make any advance. Furthermore, I would push pretty hard between Bayweux and Bois de Cerisy to force him to send several battalions worth there. Then I'd mainly focus on Caen sector between Carpiquet and Troarn - mostly German infantry there - but only once I see Germans commiting further west.

So keep up the pressure everywhere, and eliminate what you can in Caen area, try to gather armour behind the lines there, and soften him up for a couple of turns and then hit hard there once his reinforcements have been committed elsewhere.

Cotentin: keep it up, make sure you've got enough momentum to take Cherbourg, the rest should try to cut the peninsula and take victory points. You probably need to prioritise more here.

And do clean up the beaches at Omaha, quckly! Prioritise!

you also have put some ships into anchorage hexes in Caen area, i'm not sure this is authorized.
