What do you think is better for Rebels after Brandy Station:
1. A direct offensive against the Army of the Potomac in N.Va. (you are fighting along Rappahanock)
or
2. Move up the Valley into Pennsylvania?
Move up the Shenandoah Valley . . . It has an interesting map. Who wants to fight in Virginia again? Yanks are more apt to have interior lines along the Rappahanock.

Thx, I'll try to move via Valley. I think the only bad side of this move is that you will be fighting with Union secondary forces, not with AoP itself.
And how about CSA IV Corps, does anyone ever saw it in the campaign?

Taking the Valley route gives you a better chance of catching the AoP strung out. Anytime you can force a battle on equal or better odds with the AoP you'll have the advantage because of the differing quality. If you choose the short route you'll be more likely to run into the full might of the AoP.
I chose to go at the Yanks and cleaned their clocks. They are fixed at points and cant adequately respond.
They are also spread out and if you can hit them before they can concentrate then you can get a big time victory.
Lots of fords to choose from. You just have to get the Reb army over there and in action.
I totally destroyed the Federal cavalry at Brandy Station (actually the fight took place closer to Rappahanok Station) then chose to wait a couple days and move into the valley. But as I moved into the valley I ran into the Federals and now I am thrown into a fight commanding the entire ANV against something big and blue.
I'm just glad I killed Bufford early.
