Hello Napoleonic fans!

My name is Jim McLeod and I'm an ASL player.

We recently had a very good, although brief, discussion on the War of 1812 over in the ASL area. I was hoping that some of you gents can offer up more information on the war.

If you wish to review the thread we started it is now over on the Rants & Raves section.

Thanks to those who wish to contribute.

An interesting thread to be sure. I don't have anything worth adding to the discussion though.

Sounds like the first step in a program....

Sheesh! That started as an ASL thread? Really? Glad I missed it. :smoke:

Did Tate chime in? I could only wade through the first couple of pages before losing interest. Both you and Pitman were in rare form and it seems a shame if Tate wasn't there to put the icing on the cake? Could it be that this could be the historic meeting of the minds between Tate and Pitman? Hardly seems likely, but I don't see how else it could go.

I'd concur that the war was a draw, really a loss for both sides. A mess in many ways.

I would like to add that it would have been interesting if the US had taken Canada. Consider the international impact. And how the NHL would actually be NATIONAL! Or does the NHL suppose the Canada owns the US in hockey!:D

What about them Edmonton Oilers this year, eh?
