No KG-Cloghaun and I are still going in our game. About a third of the way through, only slow progress made so far on both sides.
KG_Panther and I are approaching turn 20. There is no shortage of action in either game.
Any comments on this one?

A heads up of whats happening.
Well KG-Cloghaun and I are up to turn #20 in our games (out of 48 turns) progress has been slow but they are big games and a lot is at stake here! :cheeky:
Without giving too much away Frank and I have made different tactical choices in our attacks so we will have to wait to see who made the better decision.
Stu (KG_Panther) and I are in turn 28 in our games. With Stu just back from an overseas vacation, we should be back on our regular 2 to three turns per week.
Another month has past, any new reports from the mountain pass?
This rounds ends in 2 weeks: will it need to be extended into the new year?

Yes, I'm afraid I need to ask for an extension, which I hope Victor Charlie will accept. It is my fault our match is running behind. My apologies.
KG_Panther (Stu) and I are in about turn 35 in both of our games. Especially in light of the upcoming holidays, we could use the extra month or so to finish.

Yeah we are only half way through our games. Sorry but we will need an extra month or 2 with holiday season coming and such.

I've never managed more machinery & men on the field of battle than in this scenario. We're playing 2 mirrored games, but it's the equivalent to 4 games as far as what I'm used to playing. :eek:
It's a very enjoyable, mind-engrossing scenario. Sean is a Hell of a skilled player. Everytime I think I've gotten an edge, he gains the upper hand a few turns later. It's obvious why he made the finals.

Frank is too kind there, he has been a tough opponent in this grind! Showing the right mix of bold and cautious his losses have been a bit less than mine? Still need a few more turns need to decide this one.
In the category of also rans/late tournament replacements, Stu (KG_Panther) and I are in turn 40 for both games. We have chosen similar strategies, but have employed significantly different tactics.
I am more than interested in how this one is progressing as the "objectives" are varied and can be defended & taken by several different methods.
Hows the fight for the "thorn-in-the-side playing out? (also called the village of Terpiak)

I havnt heard back from my opponent in a couple months now. I have recently e mailed him again and stated that I would have to report a missing opponent and still nothing. We are near the end in the match and I think I would have edged out a victory but I dont think we are going to finish.:mad:
Send me the last game file and I'll run the CF for you to get the score.
I'll email him also.

my matches with mike69 are just finishing and going into overtime..have you ended them kerry? If so I would like to see the final results..
All the other matches of Rd 6 the "Championship Rd" can continue right on to the finish of their hard fought endings!
The championship match of 1 vs. 2 was just the Official Match-up of the round. All other games are still being played for ladder points & bragging rights.

We are finally done, here are the results.

Mike69 Germans vs KG_ThorsHammer Russians: Draw (Germans 51%, Russians 49% ).

I'm still trying to ply turns out of Stu, who is dealing with several RL issues. We are now within three turns of the "regulation" end for both games.

It was tough going for the Russians in both games.
With myself as the Russians, I risked bypassing strongpoints to race to my opponents rear and was able to secure the rear vls while some in the middle were still in contention. I took heavy losses, especially in vehicles as mike situated his guns well.
As the Germans, I went with a forward defense to keep my opponent bottled up for as long as possible, trading losses for time. In the end, Iwas able to keep him around midway and retained the rear vls, at a fearfull cost.
Yes these were for ladder points so please report them as such.
Anyone else have comments on the game/scenario?
