Greetings Axis Team members! Please answer the poll to let us know you are in! If you aren't suppose to be here, please let us know too so we can maintain the secrecy of the sides.
Thanks!
A quick note that I'm in on both sides, neutral and impartial to help answer questions. We're still waiting on a few things before starting play, but discussions are open. Good luck Gentlemen! I hope this will be fun and educational for everyone!
Axis team members should sign in...otherwise it might lend to the idea that the Allies will take Paris without a fight!???
I'm packing "Cross Channel Attack" by Gordon Harrison to bring camping. After
a long hike - it'll be relaxing contemplating how to screw the Allied team:bite: I'm going to concentrate on the German reinforcements esp. armor/artillery -
I don't think we can throw them back into the sea - or do we try? :smoke:

Don't want to be accused of defeatism, but i think it's almost impossible unless the allied opponent makes some major mistakes.
Edit: Anyone who has managed this is invited to share his knowledge.
I agree with Telumar on driving Allies into the sea. Totally impractical and you'll almost certainly lose with all that heavy artillery out at sea. Once you're out of the range of those guns things get a little easier.
In TOAW3 units with zero MPs (the static artillery batteries with fixed guns and anti shipping capability - only guns with this capability can fire at sea targets) can fire without burning the turn, so i think the allied players will be more carefull with their navy. Though i agree with OB West aka GenStaff with the above statement, i wouldn't try it.
In history Rommel wanted to defeat possible landings 'directly on the beaches', knowing that this would be costly but more successfull. This was not possible with the actual historical deployment of german forces and the 'foggy' command structure at high levels (with impractical assignment of armoured reserves) of the german western forces. Rommel knew this. It is also not possible in the scenario.

Heinz57/Telumar,
I moved my posts out since I'm not sure they belonged in Axis Roll Call into 2 new threads- German Strategy and German Tactics. Feel free to move back if you think best and cancel new threads, though I think we'll get a lot of posts particularly on tactical Qs & tips.
Other posts might need moving or it could be left- I think I pasted all of Telumar's in as a quote. If moved they need somehow resequencing since mine went in with date/timestamp of today.
Best.
