Greetings fellow HQ friends,

I invite you all to check out my new project website and forum. It is a site and magazine dedicated to all things Military History so it SHOULD be of interest to many of you. :D

Armchair General (http://www.armchairgeneral.com)

I could really use your help seeding our new forum, and yes I know it looks VERY similar to another forum you know. :whist: I plan on mixing up the colors but needed a basic "military theme" so I borrowed an HQ theme. If you have time stop by and check it out...and drop a line on our forums I would be very grateful. :hurray:

We are also looking for writers, illustrators, photographers, battlefield visitors, section volunteers, and so on. So you might even be able to put your talents to work there.

Topics are different than here, so I won't be stealing anyone away from WHQ. Bananas may find their way over there though...

Thanks!

HEAT

Good luck with your new magazine! You've got an impressive staff on board. So what is your business plan for this venture? How do you intend to reach your target audience? What do plan to offer that your competitors don't? Lastly, can I trust you guys with my credit card number? :p

I like a lot magazines, and read quasi all the French magazines about military history and wargames. Could be interesting to read an Anglo-Saxon magazine. It is a very good idea to permit the reader to take decisions as the men on the battlefield. It is the first time I see the idea in a magazine, it is a very interesting concept.

Heat,
Your subscription address fields forgot about us military guys overseas. Recommend you add the option of APO AE, FPO etc. so we can subscribe as well! For example, my current mailing address is:

CMR 480, Box 1341
APO, AE 09128

It's regular a USPS address and operates as any other US mailing address, to include postal charges.

Looks like a great magazine and website!

Keef is also involved

I'll say; he's the boss! :D

In my recurring roll, I'm Brian's assistant editor, and I can tell you from being involved with this for awhile now that the magazine and website are just going to kick butt! Major focus on interactive content, and featuring a lot more than just dry articles presented in a tedious manner. We're only just getting started which means that new content will be arriving continually; be sure to check back every couple of days!
