Good Day Comrades!
Time for everyone's input on how to proceed now that the recce phase is complete. We are still waiting to hear a report from Czerpak. I don't think that we were able to gather much intel from the 2 recce missions. Does anyone have any insight into how we should advance? If not I will move our entire force to the south on a broad front keeping the tank regiment in reserve.

:salute:

6th MRR ready to advance where needed.

Commander Arthur had both My regiment and the tank regiment ready to strike together against any weak points that showed in the Nato advance.

My feelings are to find either the main canadian force or even the west Germans and use both of these regiments to smash them if possible........keeping back Vesku's 5th MRR and our other brave allies troops to fight defensivly against the americans. We should let them break their necks in the attack, if we can get them to attck these units in good defensive positions we will have a much better chance for victory.

Don't forget we have pooled our arty and air assests to have an overwhelming attack ssomewhere that favors us. Or to use them in inserting small units into the enmy rear to try and get some ambush kills. Although I would be interested to hear Vesku's and czerpak's ideas on this now that they have faced the enemy and what their spotting capabilities are.

I think all Regimental commanders should put in their thoughts in at this time. These are just mine, use what you think applies, My regiment is ready to follow your orders.

Recon phase was recon assets vs recon assets, not much intel to gather there. Now we should try to preserve these units and scout the main forces. That is where we can gain something valuable, like juicy targets for arty. Anything else can be sacrificed but the FO must stay alive to call arty and airstrikes.

My opponent (Pepper) did not use his scouts very well, he just drove vehicles forward so I can't tell much about their spotting ability but it seems that losing 4 RPG-teams tells you enough. I tried to avoid fighting and still lost half of them. Anyone fighting Pepper in future should try setting ambushes and wait for him to die advancing.

My skills are stronger in delaying or defensive action than in advance, I just hope that US troops hit my sector because our allied forces are not as strong as my 7th MRR.

It is important to save units for the next day, namely airforces. Remember to use them only as long as they can use stand-off attacks with missiles, no need to risk losses. NATO 155mm arty is deadly, maybe we could try if we can get some 152mm cluster ammo countering them? We still need to decide what to do with helos, one suggestion earlier was to use them as transports. Russia uses them as fast scouts. I use them as missile launch pads.

Actually nothing has happened yet, losing few vehicles does not affect either sides performance and neither gained any valuable info. Now the battle begins ... well, either side need to advance to contact first :)

At Warsaw Pact Forum is a thread called WP command assignments where you can see who commands what but I believe it's out of date. You might want to contact the troops and see who is still in.

Vesku,

From what I remember we were upgraded to some cluster carring SP-152's by Arthurs request to DD. I might be wrong but we should look into it. That cluster muniton is definitely required if we want to stand a chance. Been on the recieving end to many times in work up games to want to face them without some.......

Feel free to add to it with an updated version after a roll call to make sure who is still available. If some do not respond for some time I will remove their access, for security/FOW reasons.

It's my first operating day (or shall I say night) after a break. I dont have full report ready as of yet but here is what I can briefly say :
firstly my apology for quite long silence, but my few things appeared at once - my LAN blew up, World Cup was on, I was in final stages of negotiating for company I work for the biggest contract ever (yes, I mean it - the biggest contract signed from the time company was founded. The bright spot is.... I made it, so it was worth sleepless nights), and finally I took my daughter for long promised trip abroad - I have 6 years old princess, so you guys can probably imagine what it means for her that daddy keeps his word and takes her for lifetime adventure ;), which in reality was only 6 days trip to Lithuania, but great time we had anyway, on top of that my wife changed the job and needed my support, winWW2 betatesting is still on, so at the end of the day something had to be abandon.

BUT my decission of withdrawing from battlefield wasnt quick - I thought about it intensively, and I am still sure it was the only thing to do.
You can see casualty report, which DD presented. IMO I wasnt in the right position to gain any more valuable info without risking too much of my forces. I could kill a Leo or two, some more grunts, but my opp used helos for scouting so he was spotting my units pretty easily add , most important, in opening turns I was late to take good terrain positions. This decided of the further course of the battle.
Asfor reckon - I've seen pretty much the same/similar force as Vesku did. As soon as I catch up with other things (like going thru 100+ emails etc.) I present you with more details.
Meantime, if you have any questions, fire them up.
