UnRep magazine shows zero

After UnRep procedure, magazine count shows zero weapons if a second UnRep operation is ordered.

1. Run [PDb] UnRep magazine shows zero (3.9.0).SCN
2. Order CV to rendezvous with Sacramento for UnRep [F5]
3. Weapons allocation window appears
4. Select General Munitions from the CV
5. Select AIM-9L from bottom right-hand window for the munition to be transferred
6. Select AIM-9L from top right-hand window
6. Hit "Enter Number of Weapons" button and allocate 10 AIM-9L
7. Once procedure is complete, order UnRep, again
8. General Munitions mount will still read "0/10000" in left-hand window

UnRep Teleportation

UnRep process is possible while physically separated by several miles.

1. Run [PDb] UnRep Teleportation (3.9.0).scn
2. Order CVN to RefPt1
3. Order AOE to meet CVN with [F5]
4. Conduct Normal UnRep. Transfer 1200 Sparrow from AOE to CVN
5. Ships will separate and continue to transfer weapons

Wrong cruise altitude

TLAM shows cruise altitude of 20m and Intermediate depth.

1. Run scenario from Iranian side and watch for TLAM to approach Bandar-e-Abbas

Hi all, here is my top-10 issues with some explanations on why I think they are important. You may notice that there is only one CTD in my list, simply because I regard certain gameplay changes/bugs as more serious!

I regard the list mostly from the perspective of a scen designer; 3.9.0 ANW is making it very hard for me to update and retest my scens - for very little benefit that I can see.


Mission ignores target list (http://tinyurl.com/366qp8)

I see this as a SERIOUS issue :mad:. It means in many of my scens the AI-missions do not do what I intended. I see only disadvantages - basically I need to redesign and retest all my scens for no obvious improvement in the AI ability to fight.



Map Scale inaccurate (http://tinyurl.com/2cum62)

This one is just FUNNY :laugh: Its been around since 3.8 I think and on my PC the actual distance is often a factor 2 or more out from the scale indicated on the map. Funny/sad to test it so badly that this goes through on an in priciple OK feature.



Max altitude for planes is 32,767m (http://tinyurl.com/yqnyz5)

This one is SERIOUS :mad: because all it does (as far as I can see) is break all my scens with satellites in realistic orbits for again no benefit whatsoever.



SSK rises early (http://tinyurl.com/28o2gm)

The automatic charging of SSKs is a nice feature. However one issue I always had with SSKs is they are basically floating minefields in the hands of the AI. In many nice scens I actually used plotted missions with speed orders given at waypoints to move SSKs fairly long distances and time their approach at a certain point. As the SSKs now rise to recharge after only 25% or so battery power expenditure, I can now no longer program an AI controlled SSK to do something smart in this way. so SERIOUS :blab:

Again, just an Irritant, :( fired all torps from inside an enemy SAG and the stupid sub reloaded with missiles.



Submarine evades her own wake-homing torpedoes after firing. This does not occur with wire-guided torpedoes.

Another one I experienced when using subs under plotted mission; the sub fires, evades its own torp (running at 22 knots) and is easily killed or if it survives is out of position. :(

Probably the very worst of the bunch. :angry: Oftentimes as a player I can just loiter helo's or Recce planes right over the enemy formation without them getting killed. Recce is the hardest thing to program for the AI and for this feature to then make it this easy for the player is terrible

Where in the past subs on anti-ship would light of radar, now they even light of sonar. Another clear drop in the intelligence of the AI.

Here is another bug I encountered:

Helo's Intercept Subs at Medium Altitude and Do Not Fire

To reproduce:
Download test scen (created in PDB)

- order DDG east at creep
- set sonar intermittent
- launch helo
- when submarine is detected select sub
- hit airops (or F6)
- assign helo to intercept sub

Watch how helo will rise to 2000m and loiter over sub but never drop torpedo.

Workaround: take control of helo manually, order to vLow altitude and drop torpedo

However the method described above is a very common way to deal with submarines especially in busy scenarios.

On Matrix forum KLAB reported bomds don;t release. I tried one of my scens with PDB and confirmed it.

I just tried to play MAY DAY (from Falklands battleset). I flew three groups of harriers from the carrier and tried to bomb the Port Stanley and Goose Green facilities. Neither bobs nor cluster bombs would drop. I can assign the bombs to the target, release but nothing happens and they still hang on the plane.

I have no idea what is happening but its a major bug.

2. Strikers will approach airfield and fail to release bomb even though weapon is capable vs. runways

Entire bombload not dropped

Bomber will attack target with only one bomb and refuse to drop the remainder of the payload.

1. Run [PDb] Entire bombload not dropped (3.9.0).scn in GE
2. B-52 will attack target with only one bomb and refuse to drop the remainder of the payload.

Unable to Pause game in MP

Unable to Pause game in MP. Game starts immediately and cannot stop. Also causes problems with ghost sessions on some servers.

1. Run MP session in HUD3 server at HarpGamer
2. Game will not pause and starts immediately

Ghost sessions in MP

Ghost sessions in MP continue to run after all players have left the session. This ties up processing power as the sessions do not usually expire on their own.

1. Run MP session on HarpGamer PlayersDB server
2. While game is running, resign.
3. Player is dropped to lobby but session continues to run without any players.
4. This is related to the issue: Unable to Pause game in MP (3.9.0). Previously, players could avoid ghost sessions by placing the game on pause before resigning or quitting.

MP Unpause malfunction

After pause button has been depressed in MP, the game does not respond when user hits F12 to continue unless player uses [+] [-] keys to change the compression selection, first.

1. Run MP session on HarpGamer PlayersDB server
2. Increase time compression to 1:5sec
3. Hit Pause
4. Time compression select shows 0 seconds (even if clock continues to advance at 1 second rate)
5. Hit Pause a second time
6. Chosen compression does not display 1:5 seconds
7. Hit either +/- and time compression selection will change

False Weapons Free status

Tutorial 6 starts with Weapons Free status already enabled, but aircraft do not recognize it. [Originally reported by Eugene Smith]

1. Run Tutorial 6 under PlayersDB in GE. Lession begins with Weapons Free already enabled
2. Follow all steps for ASuW strike and AAW interception.
3. Hornet will not release Harpoons vs. LST
4. Tomcat will not fire at Badger bomber
5. If planes are launched and then the Weapons Free hotkey is depressed, weapons will be released properly

I don't even know to who I am writting here but I feel it is about time to write about annoyances. And I will use the term "annoyance" because it may be very possible the the behavior was designed to be as I described, but don't discard the possibility of a bug.
My first great annoyance is the apparent contant change of speeds both on subs and aircraft after they are ordered a custom speed. Any change in altitude or depth apparently resets the speed. In some instances a change in plot will also change it.
I have noticed also that having a group of aircraft detached also causes the detached aircraft to abandon the group's altitude. A nice low level attack suddently now is discovered because aircraft start poping up.
As i keep playing, and I have played long enough now, I will add here my comments. I will try not to repeat the already listed bugs, no point on that, but I can definitely point out how annoying some of them can be, so maybe someone can put them in priority for fixing them. Today I have to mention that i was unable to pause the game, only my oponent could. VERY annoying.

Hi all,

I discovered another bug:

ICBM overflies target

I have a scen where the player fires a ICBM from a Typhoon-class sub to a groud target about 450nm away. In 3.9.2 The missiles overfly the target and explode in a nuclear explosion, but do not damage the target. In 3.6 the missiles score a direct hit.

I've done no testing to see if this affects any other weapons or is related to the Northerly position of the target. Database used: PDB

Here is what could be an installation error on my part:

I discovered that I had two AAlog.ini files, one in the disabled and one in the enabled folder. ANW then treatd it as AAlog disabled (where I had intended anabled because otherwise nuclear bombs do not explode).
This after install of 392 patch.

I suspect that as I always use AAlog enabled, the patch added an additional one in the disabled folder. As this impacts in 392 the ability to use nuclear weapons, I thought it wise to report.

Here is another bug I found while building a new scen

Nuclear sub stops on surfacing

A nuclear submarine on plotted mission, with orders on one of the waypoints to surface and continue at 10 knots; will actually surface and stop on that waypoint. In 3.6 in the same scenario the sub will travel at 10 knots on the surface.

Steps to reproduce
load testscen in 392 SE
watch from Russia side
start clock
see how the Typhoon class travels at -10m, then -20m (as water gets deeper)
at 5th waypoint Typhoon stops. That waypoint orders sub to 00meters and 10 knots.

Nuclear sub stops on surfacing


This issue may be related to:
